@Durante_art It depends on your goal. If you’re a beginner, starting with grayscale can help you build a stronger foundation in logic and theory. Then, gradually introducing color provides a more structured learning process, making both the concepts and visual expression easier to understand.

Yes. When I first started painting, I used to begin in grayscale. But this piece was started directly in color. I only use grayscale to check the value relationships. Later, I switched to painting directly in color because, instead of adjusting everything at the end, it’s more intuitive to work in color from the beginning.
