Why do Dumocrat politicians believe American Democrat voters can't do what every South American country's voters, Mexican voters and all African voters can do. Oh wait, even a majority of Democrat voters approve of restricting registration to legal citizens and showing picture ID. Are you a racist like your Dumocrat leaders who say minority women won't be able to prove citizenship?

President Trump isn't just imitating dictators with his vanity projects. He's also adopting their tactics—threatening election officials with prison time and pushing voter purges here at home. We must stand up for our democracy.

Trump humiliated himself with that terrible White House Correspondence Dinner speech. Jokes fell flat, nobody laughed, he rambled incoherently, and it was overall cringey. Total disaster.

I feel sad for your constituents. You're in the house and don't know it's against the law to assault city, county, state and federal law enforcement officers. What you and your low information supporters (including many from out of state according to your governor) need to remember peaceful dissent is what's allowed.

@CaptMarkKelly Oh thanks!! I had no idea for Trump's responsibility in making the Dumocrat led states the most expensive for commoners like me. They regularly have highest taxes, highest utility bills, highest graft .... Fortunately, I live in the free state of Florida.

Trump has made billions while in office and wants you to believe there's nothing wrong with it. He’s making himself and other billionaires richer while jacking up prices for everyone else. Being President is supposed to mean serving your country — not cashing in on it.

Several years ago John Lott wrote an article that describes why this argument doesn't stand up. I heard the following info on the radio so I may be off on numbers of countries but ideas are clear. - 51 of 54 African countries require proof of citizenship to register. All require govt picture id to vote. - Mexico and all of South America require picture id. All but three require proof of citizenship. - In Europe all require picture id. All but three require proof of citizenship. Don't tell me US women are unable to meet this standard. In many of the countries voting participation increased after election security was established. Why? Because the people now trusted the process.

@GovSherrillNJ Here's an interesting update. The software company denies responsibility. They say their job is to transmit the voter registration data to the NJ Secretary of State's election office for verification.

I have a few thoughts. 1) If a person clicks non citizen ineligible to vote why they go on to declare party affiliation? 2) If they were registered after stating they were ineligible did anyone look to see if ineligibles went on to claim the right to vote? 3) It seems very "coincidental" that this three year old story hit the press the day before Trump's election integrity speech. Is there more to the story than you've admitted to????

Last week I learned that a serious software error in New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle System led to the registration of roughly 6,600 people who indicated that they were not U.S. citizens between June 2023 and June 2024, almost three years prior to my taking office. These individuals answered "no" when asked on a keypad whether they were a U.S. citizen when applying for drivers' licenses and identification cards, but through no fault of their own, the system registered them anyway. This happened under the previous administration and, upon learning this information, I immediately ordered my chief counsel to launch an investigation to get to the bottom of what occurred. I also ordered the removal of any residents from our voter rolls who were erroneously added between June 2023 and June 2024. The new MVC Administrator that I appointed has begun the process of replacing the vendor responsible for administering the system. Our preliminary analysis shows fewer than 400 individuals who were newly registered for the first time because of the error voted. They were registered as Democrats, Republicans and Unaffiliated voters and were scattered across the state. I want to underscore how seriously I take this matter. As a military veteran who swore an oath to defend our Constitution, and as a former federal prosecutor, I believe the integrity of our elections is fundamental to our democracy. I am appalled by the reckless failures that allowed this to happen and the lack of transparency shown by those in charge at the time. This failure didn’t occur under my watch, but accountability starts now. I am taking action to prevent anything like it from occurring in the future and make sure those responsible are held accountable. As the Trump Administration tries to weaponize elections for political gain, I am ensuring we protect our elections. Let me be clear: Donald Trump has zero credibility on the issue of election integrity. For more than ten years, he has worked to undermine Americans' faith in our elections by spreading lies about legitimate election results, attempting to overturn a free and fair election, encouraging an attack on our Capitol when he couldn't accept the will of the voters, and defunding election security at the federal level. The difference is simple: when we find a problem, we don't hide it, deny it, or invent conspiracies. We investigate it, we fix it, and we tell the public. That's what accountability and good governance look like, and that's exactly what my administration is doing. New Jerseyans should have confidence that every eligible citizen can vote, every lawful vote will be counted, and every reasonable step will be taken to protect the integrity of our elections. That's my responsibility, and it's one I will never stop fighting to uphold.

As President Trump says, the SAVE America Act requires photo ID and proof of citizenship to vote. Here’s the problem: only five U.S. states offer Real IDs that meet those requirements. That means, in Pennsylvania and 44 other states, you would not be allowed to vote without a passport or both a birth certificate and photo ID. This puts the ballot box behind a paywall, making our elections less free and less fair. That’s why this bill is the wrong approach.

How can we be sure the documents were actually in the custody of these bureaucrats (i.e is the chain of custody verifiable)?

Back during the height of the Minneapolis anti-ICE riots a report stated about 4K illegals had been picked up. Over the same period TX & FL each had about 10K. But, you didn't hear about it. Why? Because those states cooperated with ICE. About the same time a vicious criminal was released from a suburban Chicago facility rather than turning him over to ICE ... as requested. The result: ICE and other Feds tracked him down. They conducted a before dawn SWAT raid on his house including four repelling from a chopper on the roof. Many lives were put in danger because of sanctuary policies. Oh, and if any others in the house were illegals they were liable for detention and removal from the country.

ICE acts like it’s untouchable but “comply or die” is not how we operate in a democracy. Every innocent life lost demands accountability. No one is above the law and it's time to hold ICE accountable.
