Parents would be expected to attend A&E, if they can't afford to go & the child looks better. They may decide to go home and the hospital would refer to Social Care for non attendance.

In shock news, doctors don’t actually need a ‘fit note’ to refer patients to help including social prescribing. In fact, doctors can refer patients on without the DWP being involved at all! They just need the services!!
