@FabrizioRomano Villa with the late-window hijackThe midfield just got a whole lot more interesting,Newcastle walked away and Villa walked in. Priority status, Manzambi to Birmingham.
🚨🟣🔵 Newcastle are set to leave talks with Johan Manzambi’s camp as he’s advancing in negotiations with Aston Villa.
Manzambi gives priority to #AVFC after deal hijacked this weekend, as mentioned earlier.
🚨 EXCL: Aston Villa in process of finalising move to sign Johan Manzambi from Freiburg. Newcastle United had agreement with #SCF but #NUFC lacked player approval. 20yo Swiss midfielder wants #AVFC & deal now accelerating towards conclusion @TheAthleticFCnytimes.com/athletic/74360…
🚨NEW! 💣
🚨 Bruno agents are going ALL OUT to force him to Arsenal.
Newcastle officials see exactly how bad it looks — and they share the fans’ fears.
One £80m+ bid and the Magpies are in serious trouble. @imxxxd7

People are laughing at United’s defence right now.
They shouldn’t be.
If Matthijs de Ligt is fully fit by the end of August, and Lisandro Martínez stays healthy for once, United could have one of the scariest centre-back groups in the Premier League.
• Matthijs de Ligt
• Lisandro Martínez
• Leny Yoro
• Harry Maguire
• Ayden Heaven
That’s a serious unit.
The real problem isn’t the defence.
It’s the midfield.
United are still two midfielders short.
INEOS promised a marquee signing. I just don’t see one on the market anymore.
Tchouaméni has signed a new deal with Real Madrid.
Bruno Guimarães looks increasingly likely to join Arsenal.
Unless INEOS pull off a surprise.
Fix the midfield.
Keep this defence fit for one full season.
Then the rest is on the head coach.
Team selection.
Substitutions.
In-game management.
Get those right, and United have a genuine chance to challenge for the league.
@glazerscashcow This is why United fans are retarded. He’s not a player on the level of the midfielders we have in the squad, he’s slightly better as an overall package than Jordan Henderson and that’s simply because he’s younger and sharper.
Brighton are now actively pushing Carlos Baleba.
They should have accepted the £75m last summer.
Instead, they wanted £100m.
United walked away.
The plan was obvious. Hold out. Wait for bigger bids. Create a bidding war.
Thirteen months later, that gamble has backfired.
The market has gone quiet.
There isn’t the level of interest many expected.
If a club moved for Baleba today, I don’t think it would take £100m. It could be closer to £50m-£60m.
So here’s the question.
Should United go back in with a bid?
I'm fully convinced Tuchel didn’t even want to bring Mainoo to the World Cup.
He only selected him to avoid getting absolutely cooked by the fanbase because the kid was playing too good to ignore.
To give him literally zero minutes is harsh as hell. Waste of time. He could’ve gone on holiday, got some proper rest, and been fresh for pre-season. Joke management.
🚨 NEW: Manchester United have made fresh contact with the representatives of Wolves midfielder João Gomes.
The Brazilian has long been admired at Old Trafford and has consistently remained on United’s list of midfield targets.

PlaqueBoyMax explains why he was removed from the FIFA World Cup by stadium staff after getting into a heated altercation with a drunk England fan who falsely claimed he threw something at him 😳
I expected to hear, Here we go this morning that Manchester United has signed Manu Kone.
Even without Tchouameni on the pitch for France against Morocco, Manu Kone held his own in the midfield, from winning the ball to tackles and being press resistant, is well suited to high intensity football.
He showed he can handle the premier league, he should be signed ASAP.
