The Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN I Know The @MuyiwaAkinboro I know is more than just a distinguished lawyer; he is a selfless, passionate, and respectful individual whose life and work have touched many within and beyond the legal profession. His generosity is not a matter of hearsay but of concrete actions: from buying wigs and gowns for young lawyers starting their careers, to paying school fees for those in need, to providing consistent mentorship for aspiring legal practitioners. His story is one of service, sacrifice, and vision. One of his most admirable qualities is his detribalised outlook. In a country often divided along ethnic and regional lines, Akinboro stands as a bridge-builder. The diversity of those he has employed since establishing his law practice is proof of his inclusive spirit and his firm belief that merit and character should always come before tribe or background. He is a man who leads by example, reminding us that true greatness lies in lifting others, regardless of where they come from. For me, Olumuyiwa Akinboro represents integrity, service, and leadership.

NBA Makurdi Law Week 2026. It was a privilege to participate in the Opening Ceremony of the Nigerian Bar Association, Makurdi Branch Law Week 2026. I commend the Chairman, Executive Committee, and members of the Branch for organizing a well structured and forward looking programme. Initiatives such as this reflect intentional leadership and a genuine commitment to the growth of our profession. In my remarks, I emphasized a reality we must all confront, the future of the legal profession is no longer ahead of us; it is already here. Technology, particularly artificial intelligence, is reshaping how we research, advise, and deliver legal services. The opportunities are vast, but so too is the responsibility to adapt. I also highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing the work of the Bar. Collaborations with institutions and corporate stakeholders remain critical to building capacity, improving welfare, and expanding opportunities for lawyers. I referenced practical examples from past engagements, including partnerships that supported initiatives such as the establishment of the NBA Friendship Centre, as evidence of what is possible when the Bar thinks beyond traditional frameworks. Our profession must therefore move deliberately towards innovation, not as an option, but as a necessity. I further stressed the need to build institutions that outlast individuals. Sustainable progress within the Bar will always depend on intentional leadership, collaboration, and continuity. To our young lawyers, the responsibility is clear, invest in your growth, embrace innovation, and position yourselves for the opportunities that this evolving landscape presents. I appreciate the warm reception extended to me and the opportunity to engage with colleagues. The conversation continues. #AareAkinboro #NBAMakurdi #LawWeek2026 #LegalInnovation #FutureOfTheBar #Leadership #ProjectBar

@yeankhar Tinubu does not even deserve a second term from the masses. That’s the fact, another fact is that what is the way forward for the masses?? It’s definitely not pitobi or Atiku

@Ogbontarigi_1 @AsakyGRN If Tinubu won free and fair in the 2023 election, it never be well with me and my generations to come but if he rigged the 2023 election and did not win fair and square, it shall never be well with you and your generations to come!! Amen Please say Amen lets seal it 🙏🏾

Pastor Enenche, get your facts right! Tinubu didn’t 'impose' himself, he won a free election confirmed by the courts and observers. Millions voted for him, that’s a mandate not imposition! Where’s your proof of 'bribery'? You can’t throw serious claims around from the pulpit without evidence. The real shame is spreading misinformation instead of focusing on solutions! If people chose you to lead your church, would you step down just because some shouted 'we don’t want you'? Abeg make we rest!

“People say they don’t want you and you spend money to impose yourself on them. Is that not a shame? Somebody should lead because you’re wanted. They say they don’t need you and you want to bribe people and compromise election.” — Pastor Paul Enenche to President Tinubu.

There is something very specific about single women and food that everyone is aware of. Half the time they are confused about what to eat and they are just not hungry enough to justify the effort of cooking for one person. So they wait. And wait. Until their eyes are half closed and they are borderline collapsing before they finally stand up and make something. Ask her what she is going to eat and here her say "I don't know" So tell me why, when you are just getting to know a woman, one of your impressive question is "when are you going to cook for me?" She is barely cooking for herself. She is rationing her own energy just to feed herself at odd hours in an empty kitchen and you want a reservation? Read the room abi shey won shepe fuyin ni?

My husband still regrets coming back to Nigeria 2019 to visit his family, He was kidnapped that same year, was later released after paying huge amount of ransom which affected his traveling back , When we think, things are getting better again for him to go back, His elder brother was kidnapped, ransom was demanded , Hubby sold all his resources and assets just for his released because his four kids was still very young and the wife, But even after the ransom was paid, he was still killed, no body to retrieve, At the same time, hubby lost everything to them, and was also in so much debit which has been cleared by God's grace Instead of staying without anything, he decided to borrowed little money and get second hand Keke which he is managing now but has been in a bad shape since last week So to the f@@l that was calling me an Igbo beggar just because I committed on a giveaway, may Nigeria happen to u too This was my husband before Nigeria happened to him and now 🙏🙏🙏

Across every sphere of life, there is a quiet truth, belonging to a space is one thing ...... understanding how to engage it is another. In religious and social communities, individuals derive value not merely from attendance, but from connection, service, and participation. The same principle applies within the Nigerian Bar Association. For some, it remains an institution of membership. For others, it becomes a platform for growth, for collaboration, and for meaningful contribution to the profession. The difference is often not in the structure, but in the approach. Within the same Bar, lawyers encounter different experiences because they engage at different levels, and, more importantly, because they have learned to leverage the opportunities within it. As the week begins, may the above serve as a reminder for us to be: - to be intentional, - to be present, - and to engage meaningfully with the spaces we belong to. For therein lies the value we seek. I wish you a successful and impactful week ahead. #MondayReflection #ProjectBar #Aarenation #Leadership #Community #LegalProfession #LeverageTheBar

I walked through the Faculty of Law at Lagos State University as a student, carrying questions, ambition, and a quiet determination to become. Yesterday, I returned with a deeper understanding of what it means to give back. It was an honour to support the Law Library with a complete archive of the Judgments of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, from inception till date. I am grateful to the University Management, the Faculty of Law, the LASU Alumni, Executives and Members of the Nigerian Bar Association Badagry Branch, and all who were present to receive this gesture with such warmth and purpose. My appreciation also goes to Lawbreed Limited, led by Mr Layi Babatunde, SAN, who was ably represented by Mrs Adejoke Layi Babatunde, for their role in making this possible. To the students, this is for you. Do not just study the law. Engage it. Question it. Master it. Because the future of our profession will be shaped by those who are prepared, not just to practice the law, but to understand it deeply. And when your time comes, remember this: we rise, and we lift others with us. Cheers to a great weekend. #ProjectBar #Aarenation #LASULAWS #thefutureofthebar #AareOlumuyiwaAkinboroSAN

My asoebis are mostly decent, however too complex for a 3-hour service. First and second frame, I never rewore. Never saw an occasion to. Third, I rewore once cause as you see in the background it was an anniversary in church that Sunday. 4th frame however, gave me full return for my money. I wore and wore and wore, because it’s ankara. I still stand that it’s more of a material problem than styling. Most Sundays, I just want to fling something simple on and go my way. The heaviness and complexity of the fit doesn’t help matters, especially where you’re not mobile. (Even if it were iro and buba)

If I can’t comfortably wear the style to church, I don’t sew it for parties. That’s another reason you guys can’t wear your asoebi to church. Your bodies aren’t covered

Which Nigerian Senate?? The same ones that wear Tinubu’s cap and sing “on your mandate” like it's the National Anthem?? Lmao! We don't have Nigeria Senate, what we have is Tinubu’s subjects and slaves.. There's no hope for the common man in this country!! The Executive Arm of government has swallowed the other 2 Arms of Government.

@grok @BashirAhmaad At this point, the Nigerian Senate should summon the INEC chairman to appear before it. There are receipts everywhere in the media.

I’ve come to realise that some moments don’t feel important when they are happening. You only understand them years later. This picture is from 2010, NBA AGC in Kaduna. At the time, it was just another conference. Another photo. Another day. But looking at it now… I see it differently. I see people who were still figuring things out. I see quiet guidance that didn’t need to be announced. I see access that, at the time, I probably didn’t fully appreciate. It’s interesting how the smallest moments sometimes stay with you the longest. Not because of what was said… but because of what was made possible. Just a throwback. But one that means a little more now. “Some moments only make sense years later.” This week has been very exceptional for me, I hope yours have been same too. #ProjectBar #Aarenation #LeadershipThatBuilds #AareOlumuyiwaAkinboroSAN
