Intelligent people struggle with addiction. Their minds need more. They have obsessions nobody around them shares. Philosophy. Astronomy. Dostoevsky. Jazz. Quantum physics. Things they know deeply. Things they've gone so deep into that anything else feel like small talk. And small talk feels like suffocation. So... they drink. Work until 2 am. Doomscroll until they're numb. Because there is a gap. A gap between who you are and the conversations available to you. And it's one of the loneliest places a person can live.

THE FIRST MAN IN HISTORY TO BREAK 2 HOURS IN A MARATHON!!!🤯🤯🤯
Sabastian Sawe 🇰🇪 has just shattered the World Record at the London Marathon, running 1:59:30!!!
He makes history as the first man to officially break 2 hours in the marathon.
Yomif Kejelcha 🇪🇹 in his debut ran 1:59:41 to become 2nd fastest alltime, while Jacob Kiplimo 🇺🇬 finished in 2:00:28.
All under the previous World Record.

An Airbus 380 is on its way across the Atlantic. It flies consistently at 800 km/h at 30,000 feet, when suddenly a Eurofighter with a Tempo Mach 2 appears.
The pilot of the fighter jet slows down, flies alongside the Airbus and greets the pilot of the passenger plane by radio: "Airbus, boring flight isn’t it? Now have a look here!"
He rolls his jet on its back, accelerates, breaks through the sound barrier, rises rapidly to a dizzying height, and then swoops down almost to sea level in a breathtaking dive. He loops back next to the Airbus and asks: "Well, how was that?"
The Airbus pilot answers: "Very impressive, but watch this!"
The jet pilot watches the Airbus, but nothing happens. It continues to fly straight, at the same speed. After 15 minutes, the Airbus pilot radios, "Well, how was that?
Confused, the jet pilot asks, "What did you do?"
The AirBus pilot laughs and says: "I got up, stretched my legs, walked to the back of the aircraft to use the washroom, then got a cup of coffee and a chocolate fudge pastry."
The moral of the story is: When you’re young, speed and adrenaline seems to be great. But as you get older and wiser, you learn that comfort and peace are more important.
This is called S.O.S.: Slower, Older and Smarter.
Dedicated to all my senior friends ~ it’s time to slow down and enjoy the rest of the trip.

The Paradox of Knowledge: Why Medical Students Know More But Understand Less

Citizen TV just exposed something heartbreaking.
Students are dropping out of university because of Ruto ’s new university funding model.
A medicine 2nd-year student from a poor background, whose father is a boda boda rider, was placed in Band 5.
His appeal was rejected.
Now drowning in over KSh 200K arrears and expected to raise another 200K+ every year.
Tell me, how is that even realistic?
And he’s not alone. Another student at Kabianga University is facing the same predicament, and many others are already out.
This is exactly what some of us warned about, but they didn’t care.
Because this model was never about helping students.
It was about optics, enrollment numbers, headlines, and PR.
“Get them in first, deal with the fallout later.”
Now the fallout is here.
Students are dropping out quietly.
Families are breaking under pressure, and dreams are dying in silence.
And suddenly, silence from the same people who were selling this model.
No more updates or hashtags.
Same thing with CBC.
Children at home because of fees, but the government keeps pretending and lying that everything is fine.
Then you hear “TUTAM.”
Tutam, what exactly?
You cannot destroy people’s futures and expect TUTAM to cover it up.
