@Trish_Crain @beaubutts84185 THIS! I have yet to see officials actually talking to students to get feedback on what it is they are interested in doing. Some of it may align, but those conversations need to happen. I feel like we continue to pile on requirements but w/out actual discussion w/those it affects.

@beaubutts84185 Good point about the top companies and the influence they have. I'm digging into state and industry documents around workforce training and it does kinda seem like officials are more interested in what they want than what students want.

@MarySellQuillen We’re at the point of total disregard for all the themes that yes, are still coming even in middle school. At 12 yrs old, almost 13, Under Armour, Nike, etc. is way “cooler” than donning a pair of Snoopy socks or wearing his 80s Momma’s Hawaiian party shirt from back in the day.

I swear, my kids are on their 4th week this school year of "wacky clothes, hair/wear your pajamas/dress like a pirate/ garden gnome/ your favorite character but probably not one of the 15 you already have costumes for" week.
Parents in the 80s would not have played this.
