There are times where I think Mnisi thinks he's just making a presentation to a Committee in the boardroom of the Municipality where he's just fielding question from his principals. He seems to forget he's giving testimony under oath to a legal panel. It's as if he thinks a ka ba shaya shaya and move along. It is truly criminal that billions are wasted in throw away "job opportunities" rather than employing the graduates roaming our streets to strengthen the state. What makes matters worse is that the state spent more billions educating said graduates through NSFAS. There are plenty of examples countries that were much poorer than us and have risen to first world status by using the power of the state. In a country where the rich are creating a parallel state for services ordinarily rendered by the state there's a national security imperative for Govt to do everything possible to arrest and reverse conditions that justify this trend. A parallel state for the rich will inevitably lead to a survival of the fittest situation with the poor left to fend for themselves. In addition to emulating countries like Singapore and South Korea, we can also look to how the National Party took poor mostly illiterate Afrikaners out of poverty to possibly some of the best skilled people through the power of the state while defending the evil system of apartheid and international isolation. For what reason is Govt not following the same path when we have a much more educated and skilled population and we don't have to deal with economic sanctions? For what reason are municipalities being allowed to fail or be robbed by the likes of Mnisi and Nkosi while we have graduates who could capacitate them. Even at this hour, when they face loss of power, the "(mis)ruling party doesn't see the urgency or perhaps Verwoerd was right, they simply don't have the ability to govern.

Young Professionals, Teachers, Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Accountants etc. have to pay membership fees to professional bodies like SACE, HPCSA, LPC, ECSA and SAICA, even when they are UNEMPLOYED. The EFF is demanding parliamentary intervention to STOP this unjust practice!
