(4/7) Take home 1: If you had low preload (based on jugular Doppler), rates of fluid unresponsiveness was still 30% (Quadrant 1 and 3 combined). Static measures of preload do not predict fluid responsiveness (again - for those in the back!) This goes for CVP, IVC, VEXUS, or Jugular Doppler

(1/7) We previously proposed a 4 quadrant approach to phenotyping shock based on stroke volume and markers of venous congestion. @MaratSlessarev Excellent points. We learn more from each other, have more fun, and creativity soars when we interact face-to-face. Many things are lost in translation during virtual mtgs.

My research involves teams innovating at intersection of disciplines. Our best ideas always come from in-person mtgs. Turns out this format trumps virtual mtgs, as the latter narrows visual focus on the screen limiting cognitive scope. Also ideation in pairs > larger groups.
