Another Strike flight up, but this one switched flows for take off. First time catching this Polish “Husarz” 3510. It’s been a while since I’ve caught one of the Polish Lockheed Martin F-35As.

@HopelessUtahFan That last sentence is exactly how I feel. Grew up watching Space Shuttle launches from my front porch. Luckily we did make it over in February, so we still got to see it on the pad.

Joined in on the Artemis fun with donuts from Krispy Kreme 🚀🍩 We had tickets last month, but the delay had other plans… and this time, my husband’s job did 😅

@TomcatJunkie Those mini helmets are rad. I’ve been on a hunt for the 1/6 BBI ones at estate sales.

🚨 BREAKING: The United States Heritage Air Force Squadron has just announced plans to resurrect a Convair B-36 from the Boneyard and restore it to full flying condition 🇺🇸✈️ The legendary "Peacemaker" will take to the skies once again as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration, culminating in a massive airshow this September at Brookley Air Force Base, Alabama. Sources say it may be the loudest comeback in aviation history. History isn’t just being remembered… it’s about to fly again.

@APbyPL I believe that was a bonus. He spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the DFW area. That was the main reason he was here this past weekend. Plus visiting with the greater Polish community in the area.

@deez_nutts2007 @gfontana767 😂😂😂 I was regretting not bringing my jacket! I just had my sun shirt. And I wore shorts because the day before was so warm. Despite living in Alaska for almost 10 years, my inner Florida child has been winning and I’m a wimp in the colder temps!

Today was a long one, and I’m just now getting a chance to sit down and process it all. We got in line at the air show at 8am for gates that opened at 9am. That’s pretty standard for us, most shows that we go to don’t allow people to line up much earlier. But things have changed since last year, and security is clearly on a much higher alert. I’m truly grateful the base was able to put on the show, but the lack of manpower and organization made for a tough experience. Even being close to the front, it took us until 9:45am just to park, and we didn’t make it through the gates until noon, right as opening ceremonies were starting. We were rushing to find a spot while hearing the Harriers spool up, still outside security just minutes before. We’re thankful we made it in at all, but we know a lot of people didn’t. Some of our friends got in line not long after us and didn’t get through until 2pm, by then, most of the show was already over. We’re exhausted tonight, so I’ll start going through photos and videos tomorrow. Early flight home in the morning.

@FlynonymousWX That must have been so awesome. Unfortunately for me, only 1 of the 3 American air shows I’ve been to with the Harriers featured the hover. I did enjoy the F-35B demo, but I’m also a little biased living next to the plant and getting to see them so often.

@LensOfMae Previously when I have seen the harrier at air shows they do a whole routine with hovering. The F-35 demo seemed a bit shorter than what they did last year at the Sacramento air show.

A thread of pics from the NAS Meridian air show… I don’t normally like to post air show pics, it seems a bit like going big game hunting at the zoo, but whatever. 1/~12

@FlynonymousWX I had noticed that when they taxiied out! I noticed that both number 2 and number 4 were flying as 2-seaters. Didnt realize that’s where they had parked at least number 2. I haven’t downloaded any of my pictures yet from the show.

@APbyPL The show was amazing luckily. So that made up for it. Just threw off our groove having to change our own timing.

@LensOfMae OMG. What a story. All good about security but this takes too long. Good thing you were able to enjoy the show eventually.

@vincent1701 Yes, but according to the event it will arrive the Friday before the show and depart the Monday after. Unfortunately, will miss it flying.

The fun didn’t end tonight. Up close with the T-45s yet again, truly an opportunity of a lifetime. Being able to capture them on the ramp at night? Unreal.

@vincent1701 @SunnFunFlyIn I don’t think we will. This was at a Naval Base. From feedback I heard, things ran a bit smoother today. They just had to figure some things out. Not to say SNF won’t have high security as well, but I do think they are a well oiled machine at this point.

@APbyPL @gfontana767 I know! It was a quick trip. Gherardo has to get to work tomorrow, so we had to get home to do some last minute stuff before he leaves. He’s trying to make sure to leave me with everything started so I can plant in the garden bed while he’s gone.

3/12 Harriers followed the F-35… it was cool to see them flying but it seemed like a bit of a letdown as they made a few passes and landed. They could have done a really awesome flight together with the F-35. How awesome would it be to have them hovering together?

@FlynonymousWX It landed at NAS Meridian. They taxiied in all together. I saw it flying around well behind the crowd while the show went on.

15/15. Last shot… from what I understand this was the Blue Angels first show of the 2026 season as the previous shows had cancelled for security reasons. Somewhere during the show #2 disappeared and presumably landed over at Meridian Regional airport.
