@minenergybiz It depends how the assets are valued. The assets could be in places like Mali or overvalued due to high expectations. Although, this is a fair chart showing that the majors are not overvalued and could deliver positive surprise to the shareholders.

Орбан всё. Он проиграл. Он признал поражение. Оппозиция берёт большинство мандатов, более 130. Огромный проигрыш для Путина. Его главный рычаг в ЕС сломался.

В Венгрии посчитали около 15%. Пока вполне уверенно впереди оппозиция - 125 мест из 199 на данный момент. Посмотрим, удастся ли в итоге выпихнуть Орбана.

@prof_preobr На венгерском ресурсе в твиттере (оппозиционно настроенный ) прогнозируют, что если явка превысит 80% , оппозиция выиграет супер-большинство (2/3 голосов), что необходимо для изменения множества законов, которые были приняты во времена Орбана.

Явка в Венгрии абсолютно рекордная. Уже 74,2%, за два часа до закрытия участков. Итоговая будет 80-82%, тогда как на прошлых выборах было 69%. Трудно сказать, кому это больше на руку. И в городах, и в сельской местности явка примерно одинаковая (правый скрин).

That logic skips the path. Gold doesn’t move on inflation alone, it moves on real yields and liquidity. If inflation rises and the market expects tighter policy, real yields go up, gold struggles. QE helps gold, yes. But tightening, even briefly, can pressure it first. It’s not “anything is good for gold”. It depends on what comes first.

I seriously do not understand why investors are sorry concerned about rising inflation that dumping gold. Gold is the best inflation hedge and there is nothing Fed could do about it given nearly $40 trillion US debt. The worst thing Fed could do is to start QE, which is also good for gold. So anything Fed does is good for gold...

Международное энергетическое агентство (МЭА) объявило, что срочно выпускает на рынок 400 млн. баррелей нефти из своих резервов. Это рекордный объём за всю историю. С какой скоростью будут поступать на рынок эти резервы, МЭА, впрочем, пока не уточняет.

As gold approaches $5,100, to the chagrin of @CNBC, I recall the days when they still had me on air and mocked my $5,000 gold forecast, discouraging viewers from buying. Here’s one example. There are many others.
