Never did I think I would be on NJ's side about anything vs NYC but dimwits like this guy have made it so. If a ferry at 125th Street is such a great idea why didn't this jagoff propose it before NJ decided not to shoulder the WC transit burden?
Majority Leader Shaun Abreu@CMShaunAbreu

NJ Transit wants to charge $150 to get to the World Cup. But there's a better way. A ferry at 125th Street would be an affordable option and create access for West Harlem that would last far beyond the World Cup. Launch the boats!

@sportsrage Went to Bosnia vs. England in Newcastle summer 2024. 90 minutes straight they were jumping up and down at St. James. I don’t doubt could take these out 😂.

His name isn’t all over that podcast. Their names are. It’s their podcast. And as I said to him, if they didn’t check the thumbnail and the edit when it was done and just lets the production team upload it then that’s worse. They left it with that thumbnail for HOURS.

@kateharperx @ChelseaShurrle Do you really think Lauren James gets a "free pass?" She’s the subject of abuse on a daily basis and most of it is racially motivated.

@ChelseaShurrle i get she went through a lot but that doesn't excuse playing dirty. doing headlocks and stamping on people is too much, she shouldn't get a free pass.

🚨 @SenSchumer intervenes on $100+ NJ Transit prices to MetLife for World Cup:  ""FIFA is set to reap nearly $11 billion from this summer's World Cup, yet New York area commuters and residents are being handed the bill. NJ Transit may be forced to charge fans an eye-popping $100-plus for a train ride that normally costs $13, because FIFA's hosting agreement dumps added transportation and security costs onto states and cities while FIFA keeps the revenue from tickets, broadcasting, and concessions. That is not a partnership, that is a shakedown because World Cup tickets already cost fans a fortune. The least FIFA can do is ensure that New York residents can enter the stadium without being gouged at the turnstile. I am calling on FIFA to step up and cover transportation costs for host cities and states. New York commuters and residents should not subsidize an $11 billion windfall."
Adam Crafton@AdamCrafton_

Exclusive @TheAthleticFC : Current NJ Transit plans for return train from NY Penn Station to MetLife Stadium during World Cup are for tickets to be priced at over $100. Usual price is $12.90, making it more than a 7-fold increase for World Cup fans. nytimes.com/athletic/71933…
