Ziyanda is discoursing the politics of marginalisation, intersectionality and desirability. ALL black women experience marginalisation due to their race and gender. Darker skinned women experience an additional layer of harm via colourism. Her observation is that few light skinned women use their online platform to discuss the plights of black women. Those who choose to keep quiet, are probably doing so to preserve the limited desirability society has allocated them. And she’s not wrong for framing desirability in the context of the “male gaze” because it IS patriarchy and misogyny that dictate global beauty standards. Regardless of why light skinned women choose silence, it is UNFAIR for them to disengage because they WILL benefit from any liberation that comes from darker skinned women having these difficult conversations. We all know silence is complicity. Why did some people expect Ziyanda to use gentleness to describe acts of violence she’s been subjected to for her ENTIRE life?

Normalize telling boys the stories of what women in the family went through. Boys seem to hear "grandma makes the best turkey" while daughters hear "grandma was married at 14." Tell the boys the cost of their favorite meals, too.

@JesseKellyDC Completely shutting down immigration could hurt the economy and innovation more than it helps; managing it smartly works far better than closing the country.

No. Freeze all immigration for 50-100 years. We did this before in this country and we can do it again. Legal immigration is just as damaging as illegal immigration. It’s time to close America.
Chuck Steele@ChuckSteeleSr

@JesseKellyDC We need a freeze on all migration until we get a handle on the illegals and the fraud Especially if you want a 1/2 trillion dollars more for defense..

You stand a better chance at looking dignified when reading your speech from a tablet, cue cards or the good old A4 paper. Watching a grownup reading from a mobile phone is way too casual, way too juvenile and way too tacky. Leave that tawdriness to teens.

@Skhumbuzo141783 @mandymatsinhe Someone said people with no present fathers are quick to attack posts that don't have a man on them because they're constantly searching for the deadbeat father they never had. They assume everyone is like them. Get therapy dwag.

And somehow Anele’s name is being dragged into this. Someone said I must stop being a fan when I pointed out that they were not even dating then and that they should leave Anele out of this. I’m hearing more about Anele than Katlho and HER MOTHER who are directly linked.

PPE deal struck while Katleho Mokonyane and Bonelela Mgudlwa were lovers with a child together They have been ordered to repay R14 million in explosive Covid tender scandal A scandal of love, money and political connections has erupted after Katleho Mokonyane and her former lover and business partner Bonelela “Buzza” Mgudlwa were ordered to pay back more than R14 million linked to controversial Covid-19 tenders. The pair who were business partners, share a child and were once romantically involved have been thrust into the spotlight after the Special Tribunal ruled that their company unlawfully benefited from lucrative PPE contracts awarded during the height of the pandemic. Katleho is the daughter of ANC heavyweight Nomvula Mokonyane, adding a powerful political dimension to the saga that is already raising eyebrows across the country. According to reports, the contracts were awarded by the Mpumalanga Department of Health in 2020 and were meant to supply surgical masks and medical jumpsuits at a time when the country was desperate for protective equipment. But investigators say the deal was anything but clean. The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) found that the tender process was riddled with irregularities, including the shocking claim that only one company - linked to Katleho and Mgudlwa was invited to quote, with no proper bidding process followed. Even more explosive, the tribunal heard that mandatory procurement structures like bid committees were bypassed entirely, while the company allegedly lacked the proper licensing to supply medical goods. In a damning ruling, the court found the contracts were “invalid and void,” with the judge concluding that the pair had acted “fraudulently, dishonestly and/or improperly” in securing the deals. Now, they have been ordered to repay every cent. The money in question is staggering - over R13 million for medical jumpsuits and more than R1 million for surgical masks, all paid out of public funds during a national crisis. Despite the ruling, the duo have pushed back, arguing that the goods were delivered and used, insisting the state cannot “retain the benefit” while reclaiming the money. But the tribunal was not convinced. The scandal is made even more dramatic by the personal lives at the centre of it all. Mgudlwa, who previously dated and had a child with Katleho, also has a teenage child with his ex-wife. He has since moved on and is now married to media darling Anele Mdoda, in a high-profile relationship that has kept him in the public eye.Mdoda is according to a source far removed from the scandal. ”Although they have know each other other for a long time, they only wer romantically involved after. It would be unfair to ruin her career  that she worked hard for years over his bad decision.” Meanwhile, the case has reignited public anger over Covid-19 corruption, a period many South Africans remember as a feeding frenzy for politically connected individuals while ordinary citizens struggled through lockdowns and loss. buzzlifenews.com

The lies of this woman are beyond deceit. This woman is directly responsible for the ANC government in the City of Johannesburg. We haven’t forgotten. She has the audacity to lie with a straight face. Shameless human being.

@PortiaMoemedi Anele got more publicity from being married to this man because she is a public broadcaster, so you are being disingenuous when you say you don’t know why she’s trending more than him. She has also known this man since childhood. People are rightfully questioning her awareness.

During my 3 years term as Mayor, I fired 3 DA Mayco members for corruption. In all cases, against the party’s full approval. All 3 of them were kept as Councillors. I am on record of a senior member of the DA coming to my house for introduction to the MMC of Public Safety and Chief of Police for his business. These issues are never of interest to mainstream media. Thanks @AneleAndTheClub for asking relevant questions.
