@tvmpoy @sharghzadeh If you get a refund if you don’t use it you will pay there will be no insurance you can get. If you then kill someone with your car, you will pay every single dollar you will ever earn to cover the damages. Still sounds good to you?

@sharghzadeh Dumb fuck communist. The forced insurance should be refunded to you if tou dont crash or use it. The extra stuff like coverage and theft should not be. It isnt even an insurance it’s a fucking annual membership to be able to drive on the road with a car you fucking own.

I need some new fiction books. Over the last few months, I’ve read Solaris, Blindsight, Silence, Permutation City, and Project Hail Mary. I have the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, The Sparrow, and Children of Time. It doesn’t have to be sci-fi, but that is obviously my fav

@luckystrike_44 @PeterSchiff @xxyllinn So the banks deliberately created a global financial crisis to get less profitable and a lot more regulated than they were pre 2008, checks out

Wealth doesn't "trickle down." It "hoards up." It sits in offshore accounts and buybacks while the people actually creating the value have to choose between a full tank of gas and a bag of groceries.

@luckystrike_44 @PeterSchiff @xxyllinn Sure they make money writing loans, but they also lose money when the loan defaults. Now if you make money to cheap, like the fed did, and backstop the system by bailouts, you will get more risky lending behavior by banks. That should be critiqued, not the banks themselves

@LesseJivermore @PeterSchiff @xxyllinn They are doing it again right now with sub prime auto loans. They know exactly what they are doing. They make money by writing loans, they have no incentive to not write loans.

@luckystrike_44 @PeterSchiff @xxyllinn It’s just that moral hazard was created by the fed to take excessive risk, which the banks took on. I don’t think many people were aware on how faulty the loans were. If that would have been the case, the whole crisis wouldn’t have happened

@luckystrike_44 @PeterSchiff @xxyllinn Banks create money with very little with no need for reserves, I agree with you there. The banking executives certainly didn’t want to lose money on bad loans in 2008. Or do you truly think that they all knew how it would go and went for it anyway. Certainly not. 1/2

@luckystrike_44 @PeterSchiff @xxyllinn So banks don’t care if you pay back your loan? If a business goes under and a bank has it on its books, it won’t be shown as a drag on their pnl? That’s the basis of your world view? Come on

@LesseJivermore @PeterSchiff @xxyllinn Banks get the money they lend from the federal reserve. They operate on low to no reserves. The federal reserve prints money from thin air, nobody lent it to them. When a business goes under it just adds to the pool of inflation. Nobody takes a loss and the Banks do not care.

@luckystrike_44 @grok @PeterSchiff @xxyllinn No bank will give you even close to 40k credit card volume on an LLC credit card, so if you don’t want to end up in personal bankruptcy, this isn’t possible.

@PeterSchiff @xxyllinn It's not really risk when employers can borrow money printed from thin air and then just file bankruptcy if the business goes under and walk away.

@xxyllinn Lack of capital certainly isn’t the problem. Have a good idea, go to your bank and they will be glad to hand over as much money as possible. The problem of wealth distribution stems from the FED and Gov expanding the money supply

@LesseJivermore @AndreasSteno Drug spending is less than 10% of US healthcare expenditure. And the drug manufacturers only get around 50% of that revenue.

I hate high taxes, but why anyone would die on the hill defending the U.S. healthcare system is beyond my understanding. You can't find a system anywhere on Earth that delivers worse value for money. Incredibly expensive. Mediocre outcome.

It always makes me laugh when naive US leftists talk about "free healthcare" in Denmark. You pay a 60% top income tax rate and then 25% VAT when you want to buy anything. You can barely afford anything and then wait four months for a specialist appointment. Nothing is free.
