However, the next phase of the process needs to be having the PCR testing requirement for Canadians returning home rescinded. @CPHO_Canada

It has been a long 19 months for families, businesses and border communities impacted by the shutdown of the Northern Border. Today we are thrilled to welcome back our Canadian neighbors.

Tonight, at 12:01am (local time) the US land border reopens to all vaccinated Canadians. Please share your experience crossing the border & your reunification story using the hashtag #WeAreReunited. If you/your family encounter any trouble crossing the border please let us know.

IMPORTANT: @DHSgov has revised their FAQ. The land border will open to vaccinated Canadians at 12:01am (in each respective time zone) on Nov. 8 at ports of entry operating 24 hours a day & at the time of opening ports with separate hours of operation dhs.gov/news/2021/10/2…

@richhazel @RepBrianHiggins US Citizens have never needed a negative COVID test to re-enter the US by land, and as of November 8th, no one eligible to cross the land border into the US will need a negative COVID test

We have been advised that the U.S. border will reopen to Canadians at 12:01AM on Monday, November 8, 2021 (Whirlpool Bridge remains Nexus-only with a 7:00 a.m. opening). Further guidance from CBP here:

@klchecks As previously announced, minor children under 18 are exempt from the vaccination requirements. Note: Canada currently has regulations on returning minor children, which include no daycare or school for 14 days after intentsiton travel

@catsupchips It does not say additional steps, it says additional information on the steps needed - likely details on the attestation, and what is accepted as proof of vaccination status.
