According to Axios, Trump told him mediators are close to an interim deal that would end the war and start a formal 30-day negotiating period.
Netanyahu was fuming, with one source saying his “hair was on fire.”
This is amazing news, if true; it means Trump wants the war to end and he’s no longer doing what Netanyahu wants.

Last night, three people were fired upon with a replica firearm outside Chasidei Bobov synagogue in North York in an abhorrent act of antisemitism, leaving one person injured.
I am relieved to hear that an arrest has been made. Law enforcement agencies have my full support as they investigate, and as they work to bring justice for the victims and the wider Jewish community.
Last year, we introduced new legislation to the strengthen the criminal code, combat hate, and protect our communities — and we remain absolute in Canada’s commitment to combatting the scourge of antisemitism and hate in all of its forms.

One example doesn’t create the certain statement you made above. It’s essentially like saying if one person of a certain ethnicity does something, the entire ethnicity is like that. You’re basically perpetuating theoretical racism/party-ism.
But in terms of this example you gave, I think the conservatives are 100% pro affordable housing. They are just not for the government building that housing. The liberals have literally done nothing in terms of creating housing for the past 10 years and now they’re trying to do it themselves instead of using the private sector, which is way more efficient. The government needs to get out of the way. Over 30% of every new build goes to government permits and taxes and other bullshit. That’s why we have a housing crisis and that’s why houses are being built at snail pace.

Norway’s sovereign wealth fund has actual wealth, from savings.
PM Carney’s proposed fund is being created entirely from borrowed money.
Markets allocate capital more efficiently than governments. And if nation-building projects are commercially viable, private and pension capital (which Canada has A LOT of) it will fund them. If they’re not viable without government support, a sovereign fund doesn’t change the math on that, it just makes you responsible losses.
Stimulating growth with an hugely indebted economy while refusing to reduce red tape and cut taxes isn’t a thing. They cancel each other out.

Sovereign funds don’t only come from existing “extra wealth.” Many are built over time through a mix of borrowing and longterm investment returns

Believe me, I’m not opposed to a sovereign wealth fund. But you can’t create such fund without wealth. Carney is playing games.

@Lets_Rip @6ixbuzztv Federal debt at ~50% of GDP doesn’t mean 50% of everything goes to debt payments. Canada borrows at very low rates and finances roads, hospitals, etc. A sovereign fund would be a separate long-term investment tool funded through bonds and returns, like pension style investing.
