I've said this before, but this is bullish having a lot of training data. Implies LLMs will probably be a lot better at securing / auditing EVM code. You can see this phenomenon already with models—they're amazing at web dev and Python scripts, much worse at low-level code where there's just a lot fewer examples on Github. Also means over time human auditors will increasingly focus on scarce-training-data languages/applications. (Also the novel exploits that the agent found were both rounding bugs. Can this please finally spell the end of rounding bugs in crypto?)

I think @0xMiden ’s “coming out of Polygon” story is a pretty critical layer for actually understanding the project. This isn’t just a “some people from Polygon founded it” situation. It was developed inside Polygon Labs, then incubated in the AggLayer Breakout program, spun out as an official spin-off, and now runs on its own with a $25M seed. So on one hand it’s fully independent, with its own chain and its own vision. On the other hand it inherits Polygon’s zk stack, the AggLayer vision, and all the ecosystem connections they’ve been building for years. Polygon also frames Miden as a zk edge chain sitting on the side of AggLayer, competing with chains like Solana, Aptos, Sui. That already tells you this isn’t “just another random L2”, it’s meant as a strategic piece. The AggLayer connection has a pure economic, ecosystem side too: Breakout program projects are expected to allocate around 5–15% of their token supply to POL stakers via airdrop. Polygon blogs and other sources mention that for Miden specifically this is expected to be around ~10%. When you put those two together, the picture gets pretty clean: Miden is an independent zk edge chain with its own identity, but at the same time it’s going to plug into AggLayer, pull liquidity and users from the Polygon ecosystem, and share its token economics organically with POL stakers. That’s why I see the framing “Miden, a zk edge-chain coming out of Polygon’s AggLayer incubator with a ~10% expected airdrop to POL stakers, tightly coupled to the Polygon ecosystem” not just as a nice screenshot line, but as a pretty accurate diagnosis of where the project actually sits.

I keep thinking about one use case @beyond__tech makes possible that no one’s really talking about: governance export. Imagine using the BTC you already hold to vote in a Solana protocol no new token, no extra exposure, just your Bitcoin becoming your governance weight. That’s bigger than bridging it means Bitcoin’s security and influence can spill into every ecosystem. If this catches on, the way we think about governance tokens might change completely.
