Yesterday on rounds on Allo inpatient service : Young patient eagerly awaiting neutrophil recovery so that she could get out of the hospital before Christmas . She asks if she could do anything to expedite neutrophil recovery and I jokingly tell her that she could chant neutrophil 500 times or write neutrophil 500 times on the wall . Today inside her room : 😜 I love the grace and humor of our patients even in such difficult situations .
