Coming to Arc Raiders next week 🛠️
👨🔧 The Trader: Offers two perks in exchange for high-value items:
- Extra Stash space to help you increase your capacity.
- The Expedition Vault: This allows you to carry over up to five items across the Expedition, so you can set your new Raider up with your favorite items or blueprints.
- Weekly quests to unlock rare in-game items from The Trader.
This is to tide players over to October, when the next big update drops.

@ARCRaidersGame I have done my first expedition and maxed out the damage trail to get +5 skill points, this has not been rewarded today.

Can’t disagree with most of this tbh.
The thing that annoys me the most is the excess weapon burn - mean guns only last half as long now.
The expedition changes were annoying too.

ARC Raiders dropped to "Mixed" Reviews on Steam in the Recent Reviews (Last 30 Days). I analyzed the recent reviews and found the following reasons that people stated: - Underwhelming Updates - Weird Balancing decisions & Nerfs (Example: Photoelectric Cloak) - Weapon Durability Nerf - Sudden and very late changes to the Expedition System (wasted time farming currency) - ABMM Matchmaking not working correctly - Players Abusing / Manipulating the ABMM Matchmaking - No Endgame in the game - Its not really worth grinding bigger ARC (loot-wise) - Cheating & Exploiting - Lacking in the Community Management Can you agree with those points? And what would have to change to turn things around?

@ThatARCGuy I was thinking this too. It’s 100% the best map for this and I got the whole thing done pretty quickly.
Once the window is done on the 11th, I’d like to see them reduce the Arc just a tad.

This map’s abundance of ARC may have been intentionally designed this way for raiders to maximum their in-raid damage output for the Expedition skill points.

@ThatARCGuy I was doing the expedition until they decided to rug pull us like this. It’s actually really irritated me.
They also left it far too late to communicate the new idea out. I’ll still play the game but not doing the expedition now.

Get ready to deal some damage in the new Riven Tides map, because the Expedition is changing, and for the right reasons. Sure, the timing is tough on this one as people have been grinding for stash value as the primary reward metric for Expeditions, BUT ARC Raiders recently announced that damaging ARC is now the goal.
And it makes total sense. The devs want you to use the awesome gear you’ve accumulated, not hoard it for stash value. So bust out your best weapons and take to the topside to damage ARC when the window opens on April 28 in line with the Riven Tides update.

@BentekkersTV As much as it annoys me when people crawl away, this would be a ridiculous decision to add something like this. Almost as memey as the heartbeat sensor on CoD Warzone.

@AI_EmeraldApple Tbf, fewgave it an honest chance bc of the stolen art fiasco & 2 of the characters looking uggo. I did clown on it for both of these things, I still gave it a try. It's a decent game, 65%. The doomsayers on X wont help growth, nobody wants to join a game they think will die soon.

The Marathon game, Bungie's last Hail Mary, is on a downward trajectory... recording the lowest 24hr peak players of 28k players. This is not sustainable.
Bungie still has 200-300 core live team members with an average salary of $150-200k. Server infrastructure upkeep costs are about $2 million a month for most top-end extraction shooter-style server burden. Marathon is particularly server-heavy, with a lot of its gameplay mechanics residing on the server side to limit cheating. In total, the monthly burn is estimated to be around $4-6 million a month.
Even assuming 350k daily active users... the average purchasers of battle passes for most games of this type is in the range of 10-20%. Even in the case where the people who do engage in MTX buy $15-25 a month in the in-game shop... probably about 10-15% of the player base, the total MTX revenue is only going to be $4 million MAX.
This means even in the most optimistic scenario, they are merely breaking even... realistically, they are operating on a $1-2 million loss a month right now.
Obviously, this is not sustainable.
Can Marathon turn this around with a massive overhaul and game redesign that gives the game the appeal for most gamers?
If the game continues on this trajectory, by the end of 2026, the game will likely shut down.
