So much of Scottish football feels like it needs a re-boot from a fans perspective. Play offs. League Cup. Even the Scottish Cup final-which has been a decent event the last few years was underwhelming. It’s all becoming a bit performative. We lack proper competition.

A team finishing 2nd but no promotion to the top flight shouldn’t happen. Neither should a team finishing 2nd bottom get another chance to stay up. Playoffs can be great, but not when it’s an unfair system with the promotion side at a disadvantage - desperately needs changing.

I think the play offs have run their course. You have top flight fans complaining about lack of new teams. You have Championship fans knowing it’s stacked. Next season it will likely be 3 from Pars, Jags, Raith, Ayr. Winner plays St Mirren.

@PierslandKillie I’ve said it should all be 1leg games, with the teams who finish higher in the champ getting it at home, and the final, it should be at the champ teams home. I feel it’s fair to punish a team for being poor and rewarding those for doing well in their leagues, it’s done in England

@Lewi1006 Don't know. SPFL's fault that they've lost about 5 playoffs but the likes of Hamilton, Dundee, Ross County and Livi have been successful? It's a weak mentality.
I think there should be a wee bit more jeopardy for the Prem side. 2nd leg away? Or have to play a semi final?

I could be wrong but it feels like the SPL team never loses the playoff. A few years in a higher league is such a massive financial advantage

I’d say if we got in the prem we could raise our attendances which is the issue with such a closed league. I do agree that if more cld come up so wld our attendances and therefore SPFL benefit
