I've been using the new @surface laptop 15 every day for the past week for a couple of hours per night and after 7 days of this I'm still at 34%. @Snapdragon is the battery KING! 💪

The Shut Down/Restart actions in the improved Windows Search announced today open a modern version of the Shut Down Windows dialog box to choose a power option. The one opened on desktop by pressing Alt + F4 still looks old so it would be cool if it's modernised as well soon.

Now rolling out in the new feature flags for @windowsinsider - just "check for updates" and it should show up:

This are VERY good changes. I hope we still have an option to keep the search highlight image in the taskbar search box, though. I miss that little bugger on Entra joined systems and don't want to lose it on personal now

@AlexDuicu @CerakoteFinish This one is called the Cerakote headlight restoration kit but 3M also makes something similar that I believe is sold in EU (not sure about the Cerakote one since it's made in the US)

@Lexcyn @CerakoteFinish 2 years seems reasonable for something you apply yourself at home. Might I ask how is this kit called, maybe I can find something similar in my area.

My eight year old headlights were getting kind of cloudy so I tried using this @CerakoteFinish headlight restoration kit and... wow. Did not expect such a huge difference. They look almost brand new. We'll see how long until I have to re-coat them

@AlexDuicu @CerakoteFinish Pretty much yes - you clean it with some chemical pads, then wet sand with 2000/3000 grit, then seal it with a protective ceramic UV coating. It claims to be "lifetime" but I've read where it lasts around 2 years, which is plenty enough to get some new coating pats and re-coat it

@Lexcyn @CerakoteFinish What exactly does the kit contain? Do you have to do some sanding on the headlight and the cover then with some UV protective liquid?

@chadptorres @CerakoteFinish Yeah I watched a bunch of YouTube videos about both of them and what did it for me was the chemical cleaner on the cerakote vs the 3M, but it looks like they give almost the same results

@unixterminal I've been working in enterprise tech a long time and I would honestly be very surprised if any of these AI 'workflows' or productivity gains EVER materialize. Happy to be wrong, but I just don't see it.

@Lexcyn Devs at tech co's are on bleeding edge, get what AI is capable of. We are in the process of translating that to traditional enterprise workflows. Enterprise is behind, slow, compliance concerns, skilling, etc. But if there's a tech co that knows enterprise, it's Microsoft.
