I got pregnant 3 months after dating a guy who immediately went back to his ex. When I told him, he was thrilled. His girlfriend was even more excited. Too excited. She started telling me how I'd give birth, how I'd feed the babies, what they'd call her, and how she'd be raising them half the week. Then she announced on social media that they were expecting twins. I wasn't even invited to the gender reveal she threw for my babies. Then she planned a baby shower. For herself. That's when I finally commented: "Stop treating me like a surrogate. These are my children." She later showed up at my job, vandalized my car, broke windows, got arrested, and now I have protective orders against both her and my ex. Apparently telling someone they're not the mother of your children is controversial when they've already decided they are.

This is why Gen X is different today. When we were kids, people would not post a photo and complain , nanna would grab you by the collar and make you go mow the womans lawn. You wouldn't even know what was happening until you were contracted into doing the gutters too.
