@TylerTHO8 @BuffedInPrime I was answering his original question. It’s not normally done in 1v1…but talking from experience it can definitely be done and it works when executed and unexpected. My college teammate Evan Oglesby (NFL) will vouch. I showed it to him and we did it in game and 1v1s.

@CoachGrub_ @BuffedInPrime Yes! Bc you’re aggressively jumping the snap. Usually in cov 2 or 2man. Very situational. If Wr has hands down, chest exposed and eyes inside. It’s an old school technique. Catches wr off guard bc 95% of time dbs are inching or squatting playing bump n run. A nice change up

@CoachRC23 @BuffedInPrime 1000% agree with you. It’s very situational. And that’s my playing day era (Ty Law) so I’m familiar with it. He lunged too early, Nick saw it. It looks bad. But had he connected, he’d go viral. We chest is wide open and eyes inside on the ball

@Lghill_Realtor @BuffedInPrime 100% a tool to have ..we work it in NFL w/certain guys. Revis used it often, Law used it creeping LOS/timing snap. But many NFL guys can’t bc 👁️ not on hips. But these kids need to learn discipline of 👁️🦶🏽🖐🏽first. What he did was wanting to attack out of emotion not technique🤝

@BuffedInPrime I know you played nickel. I played corner. I’ve used the technique. To do a 2 hand speed jam you have to watch the ball. Ball move you move. I can’t do it off wr movement, you’d miss. This isn’t something a cb does often, it’s just another tool in the toolbox. Old school move

@jasonscheer @BuffedInPrime I can’t talk about what he’s doing now, but my college teammate was Deion’s backup in Baltimore. I remember him telling me, people would be amazed at how much film Deion watches on his opponents during the week. And for practice, Deions goal was to have perfect footwork. Idk 🤷🏾♂️

@BuffedInPrime As a DB your DL is your best friend. If they can’t rush, you can’t cover long enough. And vice versa, if you can’t cover, the DL can’t rush fast enough. Feels like CU had a healthy dose of both. But please for the love of Gawd, cover the RB WHEEL AND PLAY MORE ZONE…#IUFB
