Australians are feeling the impact of rising everyday costs. Petrol, groceries and even a simple cup of coffee continue to increase. The cost of government ultimately flows through to every single household. Help us fix Australia. 👉 libertariansqld.org.au #CostOfLiving #CostOfGovernment #LibertarianPartyQLD @jim_willmott1 @Mickofferdahl @LibertariansAus @LibertariansAus @LibertariansVic @Thejimpenman @Real_King_Elvis @brobson_politic @JohnRuddick2 @CampbellNewman @_davidlimbrick @Richard01357064

This is absolutely outrageous! Labor just blocked a cross-party bill that would've let IBAC finally chase down the missing $15 billion in what could be Victoria's biggest corruption scandal ever. Instead of transparency, they're slamming the door on accountability. Victorians deserve answers! 😡

🔔THE AUSSIE DREAM IS BECOMING THE AUSSIE NIGHTMARE Queenslanders are being hit with soaring land valuations - in some cases by as much as 70%. What follows is predictable: higher rates and bigger tax bills. This isn’t an accident. Land tax thresholds have been frozen for years while property values rise with inflation. That’s bracket creep - a hidden tax increase. More Queenslanders are being pushed into higher tax brackets without any change in the law - just because their land has been revalued. At a time when the cost of living is already biting, this makes it worse. The Libertarian Party Queensland’s position is clear: ✔ Index land tax thresholds to inflation ✔ Stop bracket creep ✔ Reduce the rate in the dollar ✔ Abolish land tax Queenslanders shouldn’t be taxed more just because their property value has gone up on paper. @OneNationAus @shravaka And @Barnaby_Joyce was part of a Government that took the decision to do nothing - despite warnings from Senator Jim Molan back in 2018 on the importance of having fuel reserves. The majority of the 48th Parliament is unfit to serve.

One reason Pauline Hanson and One Nation are surging in the polls is simple: she has been right for 30 years. Senator Hanson has consistently raised issues others ignored or neglected. One of those is Australia’s vulnerability to fuel shortages, particularly with hostile nations capable of threatening our supply lines. Preparing Australia for that risk has always mattered. That is why One Nation also supports drilling for our own oil and strengthening Australia’s energy security.

Aerial view of a tornado-damaged solar field near Tefft, Indiana – March 12, 2026 So much for "green energy." Contaminated soil from shattered panels, cleanup and replacement costs ultimately passed on to consumers, massive amounts of waste that often ends up in landfills rather than being properly recycled. Was the electricity generated here truly worth this level of environmental damage?

Introducing our Candidate for Pittwater, Doug Rennie. Doug has lived in Pittwater for nineteen years after moving over from the Penrith Region. Doug ran a national Utility Company that employed a hundred people across Australia. Doug believes that Pittwater deserves better representation. Northern Beaches Hospital has been handled poorly by the Labor Government and Local Teal MPs. Doug believes we need Freedom of speech in NSW, Freedom for our families and true Free Markets to unlock our prosperity.

This is an example of how insidious our taxation is. We pay GST on fuel excise (a tax on a tax). We pay 57.86c (52.6c fuel excise + 10% GST on the excise) for every litre of fuel we buy. Why are we being taxed too pay the excise(tax)? We're in a cost of living crisis because of the decisions our government makes. Cut the fuel excise now!

🚨 First, we had to rip down our coal powered electricity stations ... because they were going to cause global warming (didn't happen). Then we were told renewables would deliver super cheap energy (didn't happen). Now we are told the 'Long March to the Renewable Utopia' is needed because coal power stations are getting old. All around the world today, coal powered energy stations are being refurbished ... but not in NSW because the NSW parliament has passed endless laws that make it commercially insane to do so. @LibertariansNSW

@JEChalmers The ACCC is a toothless tiger and rarely brings any company to account. Abolish the fuel excise @JEChalmers - your first duty is to protect and serve the nation - not send it over a cliff.

Today, the ACCC is hauling the petrol suppliers and retailers in for an explanation. Some of the steep increases in petrol prices we saw shortly after the outbreak of this conflict have really raised concerns at the ACCC. This is why we’ve increased surveillance, we’re doubling the penalties and we’ve empowered the consumer watchdog to get to the bottom of what’s going on here. I’ve made it very clear that if they find evidence of misconduct, we expect the ACCC to throw the book at them.

🤖 CUT BUREAUCRACY — EMPOWER FRONTLINE WORKERS WITH AI Artificial Intelligence is transforming the private sector. Businesses are automating routine work, cutting administrative costs and improving productivity. But in government? The bureaucracy keeps growing — and taxpayers keep paying. Queensland’s public service now employs over 320,000 people, with a wage bill heading toward $42 billion in coming years. The question isn’t whether AI can help government — it’s how it should be used. 📊 The Bureaucracy Keeps Growing 📈 270,883 full-time equivalent public servants in 2025 📈 35,435 additional staff in just five years 📈 56,603 more public servants than in 2015 📈 Wage bill rising toward $42 billion by 2028-29 The Queensland Public Sector Commission itself acknowledges: “The public sector is Queensland’s largest workforce.” 🤖 Government Knows AI Can Improve Productivity The Queensland Government’s own AI guidance states: “Generative AI tools provide Queensland Government with opportunities to enhance productivity.” The Queensland Audit Office has said: “AI offers considerable opportunities for government to transform how it delivers services and how efficiently it operates.” Even the Queensland Treasurer David Janetzki has acknowledged the importance of productivity: “Productivity was about making sure that we get the best bang for buck.” ⚠️ But Here’s the Problem Government talks about productivity… …but the bureaucracy keeps expanding. Meanwhile frontline workers are drowning in paperwork. 👩‍⚕️ AI Should Help Frontline Workers AI should be used to reduce administrative burdens on: 🚑 Nurses buried in reporting requirements 👮 Police stuck filling out forms instead of protecting communities 👩‍🏫 Teachers overwhelmed by compliance and paperwork Technology can: ✔ automate repetitive administration ✔ reduce reporting and compliance burdens ✔ free professionals to focus on real work For example, AI trials in education have already shown potential to reduce teacher administrative workload by around 25%. ✂️ But AI Should Also Cut Bureaucracy When productivity improves, costs should fall. That’s what happens in every responsible business. AI should also be used to: ▪ streamline government departments ▪ eliminate redundant administrative roles ▪ reduce layers of management ▪ cut the long-term cost of government Taxpayers should not pay for both AI systems AND an ever-growing bureaucracy. 🇦🇺 The Goal: Smaller Government, Better Services AI gives Queensland a real opportunity to: ✔ reduce bureaucracy ✔ cut government costs ✔ support frontline workers ✔ deliver better services for Queenslanders A smarter government should be leaner, more efficient, and focused on real service delivery. 📣 Call to Action Queensland Government must: ⚡ Use AI to reduce administrative bureaucracy ⚡ Free frontline workers from paperwork ⚡ Deliver better services at lower cost Technology should empower those who serve the public — not expand the bureaucracy. It’s time to make government smaller, smarter and more effective. #SmallerGovernment #CutBureaucracy #AIReform #Queensland #TaxpayerFirst #FrontlineWorkers #Productivity #AusPol #Libertarian #BetterGovernment

ENERGY SECURITY STARTS AT HOME UNLOCK THE BEETALOO BASIN Australia is one of the most energy-rich countries in the world. From Bass Strait to the Beetaloo Basin, the resources are there. Yet Australians are now facing shortages, rising prices and energy insecurity. Energy security means developing the resources we already have here at home so Australians can rely on stable and affordable energy. Energy security starts at home. libertariansqld.org.au #EnergySecurity #BeetalooBasin #CostOfGovernment #LibertarianPartyQLD @jim_willmott1 @Mickofferdahl @LibertariansAus @LibertariansVic @CampbellNewman @Richard01357064 @JohnRuddick2 @_davidlimbrick @Thejimpenman @LibertariansNSW @brobson_politic @Real_King_Elvis @rowandean

⛽ ABOLISH FUEL EXCISE — STOP MAKING THE RBA DO THE HEAVY LIFTING Oil prices are spiking again. Petrol prices will follow — pushing up freight, food and the cost of living across the entire economy. Yet Treasurer Jim Chalmers is leaving the response to the Reserve Bank of Australia, meaning Australians face the prospect of higher interest rates on top of higher fuel prices. That’s the worst of both worlds. ⚠️ THE FACTS 🔹 Fuel excise = 51c per litre 🔹 GST adds ~5c per litre 🔹 Total fuel tax = ~56c per litreEvery time Australians fill up, they’re paying one of the highest fuel tax burdens in the developed world. And yes — it’s a tax on a tax. 📈 WHY THIS MATTERS Fuel is an input cost for almost everything: 🚛 Freight 🛒 Groceries 🏗 Construction 🌾 Agriculture 🚗 TransportHigher fuel costs push inflation through the entire economy. 🚨 CHALMERS’ APPROACH Instead of cutting fuel tax and easing inflation directly, the Treasurer is effectively leaving the RBA to do the heavy lifting. That means: ❌ Higher petrol prices ❌ Higher inflation ❌ Higher interest rates ❌ Higher mortgage repayments Households carry the pain while government keeps the tax. 💡 THE REAL SOLUTION Permanently abolish fuel excise. ✔ Immediate cost-of-living relief ✔ Lower transport costs across the economy ✔ Reduced inflation pressure ✔ Less need for interest rate hikes Fiscal policy should help control inflation — not force the RBA to crush households with higher rates. 📢 CALL TO ACTIONTreasurer Chalmers should stop hiding behind monetary policy.Abolish fuel excise and take pressure off Australian families. #AbolishFuelExcise #CostOfLiving #InterestRates #Inflation #AusPol #CutFuelTax

$5,000 cash to the bureaucrat or person that blows the whistle with irrefutable evidence that proves Labor is intentionally creating fuel crisis in Australia and stopping fuel from getting to the farmers. Every single Labor minister says it’s not supply.
