It’s totally fine. Jesus was against overly strict law and constantly rebuked the pharisees for being too strict. I follow Jesus, not man.
Liturgical vestments are of course not to be thrown in mud or disrespected, yet vestments are nothing compared to a living God, and how much reverence God should have.
Jesus is God, and He still would have totally done this when He was in human form.

It diminishes the significance of acting in persona Christi and treats the holy as common. While a priest may wear a cassock or clerical attire during recreation, vestments should be removed after Mass before engaging in any physical activity the sacred belongs at the altar.
