This book has to be one of the best presidential memoirs ever written by one of the smartest and most prescient of Presidents to ever sit in the Oval House. It’s a fly-on-the-wall account of the inner workings of the White House during a tumultuous and yet groundbreaking time.

I guarantee the same thing is happening with mortgage applications, driver's license exams, speeding tickets, health and safety inspections, and every other interaction with the regulatory state. White Canadians experience the full weight of the law. For Indians it doesn't exist.

Why are you recruiting more foreigners, when tax paying Canadian citizens are being discrimminated against because they're white, male, and Christian? Why can't our kids get summer jobs, while you import millions of Third Worlders to staff fast food joints? Why can't our kids get into med schools or law schools, because your hateful, discrimminatory policies choose people not based on merit, but based on skin colour, ethnicity, and other criteria which have nothing to do with the aptitude or ability to be a good doctor or lawyer? Why do you hate Canadians, and love foreigners instead? Why?

Odd. An Indian ticket checker on the GO train just checked my card to make sure I paid. He then passed three Indians two seats over from me and just waved at them and didn’t check their tickets. I wonder if the @CanBorder does the same at airports. I’m not making this up.

It's sick how fast they went from don't have kids we are overpopulated to we are importing millions of foreigners to fix the dropping birth rate.

This needs to be understood: Canada isn’t just about to have a referendum on whether Alberta leaves Canada. Millions of talented workers across the country are ready to either move to/stay in Alberta or take their talents elsewhere. Either way, Canada is about to have the biggest brain drain in the nations history.

This is a socialist puppet who is going to make things even more difficult for the average Canadian….

Politicians — or those aspiring to office — must recognize that immigration is not just an economic issue, it is a cultural one. Replacement migration has changed the character of Canada. The country I was born into is rapidly disappearing. It is not enough to trim away at the edges. We must take a fundamentally different approach to immigration. One that recognizes that human beings are not just abstract economic units. One that puts preservation of our unique identity at its core. The federal Liberals let in far too many people over the last decade — illegally and legally. Now millions will have to return home. Quebec has set the precedent. There is lots that can be done from the provincial level.

Canadian leaders are too afraid to engage seriously with the frustration many normal people feel about immigration after the last few years. But I share many of their concerns. We have made honest conversation too difficult. And in Ontario especially, we have been naive about the effects of sudden population growth on housing, wages, infrastructure, public services, and yes, social and cultural cohesion. Immigration has historically been one of Ontario’s greatest strengths. It helped build our industries, our cities, and our prosperity. But many Ontarians feel gaslit if they express frustration about current circumstances. Young people watched rents explode. Entry-level work became more competitive and lower paid. Colleges transformed into immigration pathways. Infrastructure and healthcare struggled to keep up. It has changed our politics, too. People are not imagining this. Ontario experienced a genuine immigration shock. This at least is somewhat acknowledged. And while Ottawa deserves plenty of blame, Ontario cannot pretend this simply happened to us. Doug Ford’s government helped create the conditions for this crisis by blowing up the higher education funding model. They froze tuition, underfunded colleges and universities, then allowed institutions to make up the difference by massively expanding international student enrollment. That turned parts of our higher education system into an immigration-processing business. Now Ontario now needs a reset. And because immigration policy is ultimately federal, Ontario will need to work closely with (and pressure) Ottawa to pursue a system that is sustainable, orderly, and capable of maintaining public trust. Permanent immigration should return to a more normal and sustainable baseline, and no longer be subject to insiders claiming “labour shortages”. Over the next 5-10 years, Canada should gradually unwind the enormous temporary resident population from roughly 5 million people nationally to well under 1 million. Some, of course, should be offered a path to stay, but many cannot and we need to honestly acknowledge that. That likely means a prolonged period of near-flat population growth. Going forward, temporary worker, asylum, and student streams need to shrink substantially. More than they have. Visa rules need to actually mean something. Asylum claims cannot quietly become a parallel permanent residency system. At the same time, we should reward people who follow the rules. If someone came legally, worked or studied honestly, avoided welfare, and left when required, they should receive a meaningful advantage if they later apply to immigrate permanently. And finally, we need to remember what immigration policy is for. It is not primarily a humanitarian program. It is a civilization-building and economy-building program. Ontario and Canada should prioritize immigrants with the skills, education, economic potential, and cultural compatibility to help build a prosperous, cohesive, high-trust society.

@MarkJCarney Don’t pretend that you care about nature when you’ve already greenlit the construction of numerous AI data centres across Canada. Be grateful that your voters are geriatrics who still can’t figure out how to turn the volume down on their phones.

The White House just used the words "replacement migration" in an official statement. In Canada, saying that gets you called a racist and a bigot. In America, it's now official government policy to reject it. The US confirmed the UN was actively facilitating mass migration corridors into Western nations. And they walked away from the Global Compact on Migration entirely. Now look at Canada. 4 million temporary visas expiring. No enforcement plan. In fact, no plan at all. Carney quietly converting 33,000 to permanent residents. Another 115,000 protected persons being regularized. 6,000 undocumented workers being legalized. The US calls it replacement migration and says never again. Canada calls it immigration policy and keeps going. The US is protecting its people. Canada is hoping you don't notice.
