The most aesthetic physiques all share one trait: Back Chain Dominance. This is when pressure and thus muscular development is biased toward the posterior side of the body (the glutes, hamstrings, erectors etc) Why does this matter aesthetically? Because what humans perceive as attractive is merely a reflection of function - because function produces survival. And the human body is designed to move out of the back chain because this system produces the most efficient locomotion. This looks like: - the hips becominf the driver instead of the quads. - the spine decompressing. - the ribcage lifting naturally. - the neck and traps no longer overcompensating. - fascial planes becoming free, making room for thing like proper facial development. This then creates the traits people consistently perceive as aesthetic: - better posture, - a more athletic silhouette, - stronger glutes, - a narrower-looking waist, - fluid & effortless movement, - a more relaxed presence. You can see these EXACT mechanics expressed in supermodels, elite athletes, children, and hunter gatherer tribes alike. Biomechanics create beauty. And the gym ISN’T helping your biomechanics.

The barbell has killed this physique. Biomechanics have been systemically COOKED and it’s the reason no one has that effortless aesthetic anymore. Just the bulky meat heads…

Imagine a world in which not only you but everyone you knew was so deeply embedded in the reality of the natural world that miracles like the below were almost quotidian. Where a fact like "while processing an animal for food you may occasionally discover its body spontaneously produced a single precious gemstone that you will be the first and probably only human to ever see or comprehend" is at least as widely known, understood, and respected as something like "while looking up at the sky you may sometimes see a shooting star ..."

A Family Made Whole and a Legacy Restored!!! Today we celebrate a profound moment of reconciliation and mission readiness driven directly by the President’s Executive Order. Chief Warrant Officer 5 Kelly has officially returned to active duty service! The Kelly family has long been defined by a singular commitment: the defense of the United States. “This reinstatement is a privilege made possible by President Trump and the incredible support of the COVID Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force (R2TF). I especially want to thank the R2TF Deputy Chief, LTC Chris Berge, for his phenomenal assistance throughout the process. Putting the uniform back on is an absolute honor that truly feels like coming home. Being back in the ranks to lead from the front and serve alongside my sons is the proudest moment of my career,” said CW5 Kelly. The Next Generation: Army 2LT Ryan Kelly, bound for Apache flight school, views his father’s return as a masterclass in resilience: “His service set the ultimate standard for what it means to be a warfighter... I am ready to carry on our family’s legacy of combat aviation.” A Lifetime of Commitment: Andrea Kelly noted, “When the opportunity for reinstatement came, we knew immediately what the right choice was. The transition back has been incredibly smooth, and we are loving being made whole as a military family again.” Jonathan Kelly highlighted that his father’s example taught him “there is no limit to what one can achieve through a solid faith in God and a strong work ethic.” Thank you, POTUS, @SECWAR @PeteHegseth, and @USW_PR_HONTata for restoring our @USArmy and @DeptofWar. Welcome back, Chief Kelly! Philippians 1:9-11
Under Secretary of War Anthony J. Tata@USW_PR_HONTata

Today, we are sharing the story of another resilient warrior who was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, Kennie Kelly. Chief Warrant Officer 5 Kelly, a Master Aviator, was involuntarily separated in September 2022 after refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Following the release of EO 14184, he worked directly with the dedicated @USArmy COVID-19 Reinstatement & Reconciliation Task Force to return to service. With support from the Task Force - and under the leadership of @SecWar & @SecArmy - CW5 Kelly was reinstated in February 2026 with full relief, including backpay, duty station preference, entitlements, benefits, and constructive service credit. He now serves alongside his three sons, each carving their own path in the @USArmy, @USNavy & @USAirForce. Said CW5 Kelly, “Putting the uniform back on is an absolute honor that truly feels like coming home. Though the COVID separation was a difficult chapter, it ultimately deepened my dedication to the @DeptofWar mission and the nation I serve.” Welcome back, CW5 Kelly. Hooah!

It's like that one time I was a LT sitting at a table of SESs and O5+ folks, and one SES said, "we are changing the flight school curriculum because we did a study and found that fighter pilots are racists and misogynists." My ears perked up, and, I just had to chime in, "Hi, fighter pilot here; how did you come to that conclusion?" "I told you, we did a study." "Expand on that." "We studied the gradesheets from the last X number of classes and sorted the gradesheets by the platform of the instructor, and we found that fighter pilots consistently gave women and minorities lower marks whereas other communities did not." "And you decided that made fighter pilots racists and misogynists?" "Yes." "I admit, that is one conclusion you could come to, but it's not the only one." You could have heard a pin drop. I was not invited back.

This is why we need large scale maneuvers now. Not rehearsed exercises, not under-strength brigades at training centers, not proof-of-concept where everyone stares at the same tactical tech from a tent. Get all those 2-stars in the field and make them prove they can maneuver a division before we have to learn this the hardest way.

Never let the same people who purged, divided, and politically sorted the military suddenly lecture you about unity. Those who politicized the force while currently accusing others of undermining it, are among the greatest hypocrites in history.

@Jeff_T Thanks for that man. I agree I know it’s a nerve. I just can’t keep skipping legs. I was very careful and only did light machines today. My chiropractor did recommend an MRI but I don’t have insurance or the cash for 90 days. I reached out to someone to start figuring it out.

My sciatica has been killing me for a month. Last night I went to the bar with my wife, took 2 sips of a beer and had to go home it hurt so bad. I haven’t trained legs in a month. I’m starting to think babying it is why it’s not healing… So I took 4 ibuprofen with my preworkout and I’m in my way to hit a light leg day. Probably all machine. Might just be a quad day if I can’t take the pain in my hamstrings. Wish me luck everyone.

@hjluks @CynicalPublius Even if it is due to the tear, Id give it 2-3 months of training around it/avoiding aggravating it to see if there's any improvement, and if there is expect that to continue improving logarithmically to 9-12 months. He's made up his mind tho

@CynicalPublius You sure the pain is due to the meniscus tear? Not a rhetorical question. Having that surgery will increase your risk of OA. Not saying you don’t need it. Just saying that this decision making isn’t as straightforward as most would assume.

I'm getting my knee scoped on Tuesday. I have a bad meniscus tear. It went from being a minor annoyance to crippling almost overnight, without any single instance of injury. There is some arthritis in there too, I'm hoping to avoid an eventual knee replacement (too many bad PLFs and 12 mile ruck marches, IYKYK😉). I already have an icing machine from my shoulder replacement, but does anybody have any helpful tips/ideas? Thanks in advance.

🚨 JUST IN—IT’S OFFICIAL: Conservatives have BLOCKED an attempt to RAM THROUGH a 5 year extension of FISA in the dead of night, extending it by only 2 weeks @timburchett, @laurenboebert, and @RepThomasMassie are out here celebrating a win against the deep state 🇺🇸🔥 “They try to bring us in all these classified briefings and tell us how DANGEROUS it is to have warrants to spy on American citizens. The briefing that we're never going to get is, ‘hi, our agency has been given TOO MUCH power by Congress!” — Rep. Boebert — Asked about how this current FISA bill relates to the powers used to spy on President Trump’s campaign, Massie said: “Today, I went in the SCIF and saw two TOP SECRET documents that showed this program is getting worse—NOT better!” When I asked how extending FISA impacts everyday Americans, Massie replied: “If you get on the government's naughty list—regardless of who is in the White House—they could put your name in this, find things about you, and then go recreate ANOTHER evidence trail to discover that because they're NEVER going to say they used FISA.” — When I asked Burchett what he thinks of FISA, and if it’s used to spy on aliens, he said: “I don’t believe in FISA. The only reason aliens don’t come down here is because there IS not intelligent life.” 🤣🔥

This function-driven versus aesthetic-driven training debate is tiring. Most people want some combination of both. But you know what? It’s also COMPLETELY OKAY to exclusively want one versus the other. Good grief, it’s NORMAL that we all have different goals. Calisthenic dudes aren’t *better* than bodybuilders, nor vice versa. Can we all put this silliness to bed?

“You aren’t going to win any body building shows doing bodyweight exercises in your back yard!” Good thing most people don’t care about winning bodybuilding shows. Nothing wring with maximizing everything toward bodybuilding, if that’s your thing. But realize that 99% of people don't want that lifetsyle.
