Can someone explain, in the simplest way possible, why a faction of the right despises Thomas Massie?

I've been watching Trump since the 80s and 90s since he was on Oprah and hanging out with the Clintons and Hollywood celebrities. No doge cuts, government has only grown in size, our kids are even more in debt. And he's decided to go after one of the few truly conservative members of Congress.

The Massie allegations are serious and the accuser has receipts. There are X messages, text messages, calls, trips and a NDA promising $60k for silence. He allegedly got her a job in DC working for Victoria Sparks who fired her after the relationship with Massie ended. She claims he wanted her to engage in behavior she wasn’t comfortable with and he became emotionally abusive when she refused. She also claims that Massie offered her $5k to drop the initial complaint against Sparks for wrongful termination. The $60k offer came later. My opinion: on its face, had the allegation been emotional abuse only, I don’t think that rises to the level of unfit for office so it wouldn’t go anywhere. However, the payment offers to silence her after she filed complaints is very troubling. Also, the interviewer should have drilled down on what Massie was asking her to do that she was uncomfortable with. As always, allegations alone should not harm the accused, so an examination of the receipts is important.

🚨Breaking🚨: Physical altercation occurs at an Ed Gallrein (Thomas Massie’s opponent) event. In the final week of the campaign, and amid backlash over what many have called a “Biden-style basement campaign,” Ed Gallrein has decided to hold more public campaign events. Reports from the ground indicate these events have not gone well. They are being advertised to the public at large to encourage attendance.I n this video, you will see two different Kentuckians attempting to get their questions answered, and a Gallrein supporter getting physical with one of the people asking questions. The first question was: Why won’t Ed Gallrein debate Thomas Massie? Gallrein responded by claiming he was debating Massie right then — while speaking in a room that did not contain Thomas Massie. The second question asked whether Gallrein would protect the Constitution from unconstitutional executive overreach regardless of who the president is. Gallrein responded by saying he disagreed with the premise of the question and refused to answer it. After the speech, the attendees attempted once more to get their questions answered. That interaction ended with a Gallrein supporter grabbing the hand, phone, and wrist of the person recording in an attempt to stop the recording. These were not people from the Massie campaign, nor professional rabble-rousers — just ordinary Kentuckians trying to get straightforward answers. They only began recording after it became clear the question-and-answer portion would not be a genuine Q&A. The jumps in the video at the end are simply from the recorder accidentally turning her phone on and off during the altercation. Other reports from different events include people being denied entry even after RSVPing, with no explanation given. Some attendees say they were turned away because they “just didn’t look right.” It has also been stated that people are leaving these events saying things like, “Well, he didn’t tell me anything,” or “I came in wanting to vote for him, but not after that.” All of this lends credence to the idea that Gallrein is refusing to debate Thomas Massie because he lacks the ability to communicate effectively and hold his own in a potentially hostile environment. The problem, of course, is that Congress is a hostile environment.

I think the issue is that it shouldn’t. But when the GOP doesn’t even pretend to want Black voters, it becomes the reality. It’s not a good reality, in my view, because our fate as a community should not be tied to the electoral successes or failures of the Democratic Party. We need both parties competing for us. But both parties have to show a desire to do so and when it comes to our community’s interest, I don’t trust either one of them at this point.

I’m begging someone to tell me what power black people are losing. How does lost Democratic Party power equate to lost black American power?
