@b11_megan Same thoughts here. What's the practical solution? Even if you stop selling AR-15s, there are 30m of them in circulation. At least. Assuming you aren't going to go door to door collecting them, what else can you do?

I'm Conservative, Pro2A, a gun owner..& I'm tired. I'm literally in tears trying to tell my husband that I hate sending the kids to school & hate even going places like the grocery store because I'm afraid I'm going to get shot. How can we DO something about this. 🙏 #lewiston

@chgoggin All fair, but what does "limit the sale" really do? Best count, there are at least 30m AR15s in the USA. One for every 11 people. Easy to say the guns are the problem, much harder to make a practical proposal to solve it. Feels like mental health might be the easier road.

@chgoggin I don't disagree. But, as a practical matter, how do we get the toothpaste back in the tube? Do we go door to door and collect AR-15s? Ban them and hope people willingly turn them in? Millions upon millions of guns already in circulation. What's the plan?

It's utterly extraordinary that those that spent the last several years seeing "Nazis" everywhere they looked suddenly can't see them amongst the antisemitic, genocidal murderers of Jews and their supporters.

@thewanreport Mate, you're portraying him as a predator without even trying. You know why? Because men who force themselves into women's single sex spaces ARE fucking predators. You and him can go fuck yourselves. Women said NO.

@RealHousewifeMi @cut4nil @Riley_Gaines_ By that same logic, it doesn't make sense to ever have an event to generically support "gay rights" or "trans awareness". According to you, unless a specific right for a specific person is being encroached then you're just looking for attention. Actually, come to think of it...

THIS is how parents need to show up to games/races/meets when their daughters have a male competing alongside them. Good on these parents for defending their daughters. The tide is turning! 🌊

The gender critical "myth" that sex is binary and immutable in humans is not a myth, but an evolutionary fact. What "myth" did you debunk in this piece? Do you mean the fact that there are only two sexes across the vast diversity of life--male and female? The fact that the two sexes have existed for more than one billion years? The fact male and female bodies are organized according to different functions? The fact there are more than 6000 gene expression differences between males and females? The fact that testosterone and estrogen are produced in vastly different amounts between the sexes, specialized for important functions across the bodily tissues? The fact that being male provides an immense advantage to sports performance over females? The fact that people with disorders of sex development are either male or female? The fact that trans people cannot change their sex because they are not clownfish? The fact that taking cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers has a host of detrimental and permanent effects to the body, inducing a developmental disorder and not a sex change? What other facts would you like to "debunk"? I didn't see your points backed up by any scientific evidence, mostly just emotional appeals. We have the scientific literature on our side, and I'd be happy to link to any of the primary literature if you'd like to learn more.

It's always the same story. Anyone who thinks trans-identifying males competing in women's sports is fair, please show me ONE example of a female ranking higher against the men at a competitive level than she did in the women's category.

🧵"Transition has one of the lowest regret rates of any surgery." First, that research has loss-to-followup rates of 20% to 60%. There's no reason to believe that these people stopped communicating with their clinics because they were happy with their treatments. Second, those studies focused on adults who were carefully screened as opposed to children caught up in the gender craze and pushed through treatments quickly because of our affirmative care model. Third, and most important, these studies defined regret very narrowly as a request for a legal document change or a request to care at the same facility. The most recent studies showed 30% discontinue treatment. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35452119/

This is Ross Ulbricht. 10 years ago today, Ross was arrested for creating a website. If the government gets their way, he'll die in prison. Ross is serving a double life sentence plus 40 years for, again, creating a website. If that sounds ridiculous and infuriating to you, keep reading.  It gets worse. Ross created a website called Silk Road, which he designed to be a free market, secure, anonymous marketplace.  It used Bicoin for payment, and utilized a system called Tor which allowed buyers and sellers to access it anonymously and without any trace. An avid libertarian, Ross prohibited anything being sold on Silk Road that violated the Non-Aggression Principle. This included stolen items, counterfeit/fraudulent items, child p**n, assassinations, etc. A devout believer in nonviolence, Ross also prohibited the sale of weapons. Many items that were sold on Silk Road were legal, and a third-party study of the site inventory by Carnegie-Mellon University concluded that the drugs most commonly sold were small amounts of cannabis.  Most importantly, Ross was not convicted for selling, buying, or being in proximity to any of the items that were sold on Silk Road, legal or illegal. He was convicted for what others did on the site. Imagine if Elon, or Zuck, or any of the other owners of web platforms were charged for what other people did on them. On October of 2013, Ross was arrested by the FBI and charged with money laundering conspiracy, computer hacking conspiracy, fake ID trafficking conspiracy and narcotics trafficking. (Ross did not actually launder money, hack computers or sell illegal items himself. These charges were based on what users listed on the site.)   After his arrest, the prosecution fraudulently alleged that Ross attempted to have several people killed, but never charged him for this at trial, and his supposed "victim", Curtis Green, publicly stated that those allegations were false. He is a fervent supporter of Ross. Despite the fact that these false, unproven allegations were never prosecuted, the federal government used them in the media to paint Ross as some kind of violent criminal kingpin, despite the fact that he was nonviolent and lived a very meager life, living with 3 other roommates in an apartment. The FBI also seized over 144,000 Bitcoin that they found in a shared wallet on Ross's computer, which today is worth over $3.8 billion. During Ross's trial: - Evidence and testimony showing that multiple people ran the website was banned from being discussed at trial. - Ross's defense team was not allowed to cross-examine the prosecution's witnesses or present their own witnesses - Key exonerating evidence was blocked by the judge - The prosecution was permitted to allege to the jury that Ross had hired hits on people despite never charging him with this or allowing him the opportunity to defend himself against the allegation The jury found Ross guilty on all charges, and the judge sentenced this first-time, nonviolent person to double life plus 40 years without parole. After Ross's trial, two of the key investigating federal agents were convicted on corruption charges related to Ross's case. Their existence was hidden from the jury during trial. Despite all of this, Ross’s conviction was lost on appeal, and the Supreme Court refused to hear his case. There is no other way to say it: Ross was railroaded by a corrupt federal government that wanted to make an example of him and steal his Bitcoin. During his 10 years in prison, Ross has continued to be a model citizen, teaching classes and tutoring his fellow inmates and helping them to earn their GEDs.  He has also completed several educational programs himself and has never received a single disciplinary sanction. Ross Ulbricht is a peaceful, nonviolent man who has never harmed anyone and whose only "crime" was to create a website that other people used to sell drugs that shouldn't be illegal in the first place. And for this, he's already spent a decade in prison. If he is not pardoned, or his sentence commuted, he will die there. That is unacceptable, and it is long past time for Ross to be set free. Obama could have set Ross free with the stroke of a pen, but he wouldn't. Neither would Trump. Neither has Biden. Let's replace them with someone who will. Ross, I am sorry for what you're going through, and I will not stop fighting for your freedom until you're back home where you belong. Free Ross Ulbricht.

The actual number is, of course, zero. Literally zero, because the male and female reproductive organs develop in utero from same tissue. In some ultra-rare cases people have mixed tissues, but literally no one has both sets of reproductive organs

No, that's incorrect. No human has ever had both sets of functioning reproductive organs. Humans are sexually dimorphic, not hermaphroditic. All humans are either male or female, and the percentage of babies who require further investigation to accurately categorize them because of unclear genitalia is 0.18%, not 2.0% or 1.7%. realityslaststand.com/p/intersex-is-…

@billybragg You accept a man wearing a dress a hell of a lot more than you accept a women wearing a dress, as you wouldn’t dare criticize men who wear dresses but can’t wait for any opportunity to criticize women, proving that you know exactly who is a woman and who is not.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson (@neiltyson) is misinformed and willfully ignorant on this topic. He claims that Semenya is a genetic female with naturally high testosterone. But this is false. Not only does Semenya have XY chromosomes, but also has "make-male" genes like SRY, which differentiated the gonads into normal testes. These testes produce male-typical levels of testosterone (15-20x higher than a female) that the body then receives across development, masculinizing the physiology. This provides the male advantage for Semenya. Semenya has 5-alpha reductase deficiency, which causes a deficiency in a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is the hormone that finalizes the male's external genital development. Lack of this hormone results in genitals at birth that look more female-like. However, the rest of the male's development is normal, including their functioning testes. At puberty, enough T is produced to continue the masculinization of the external genitalia. Thus, it is not about people being "weirded out" about a female with high T. It's about people rightfully wanting males to be out of female sports, including those males with sex development disorders who still benefit from androgenizing male puberty. See the sex development chart below for 5-ARD.

In this new @triggerpod episode with @neiltyson, I am almost certain he is referring to South African runner Caster Semenya here. If so, he is parroting mainstream misinformation about Semenya being a "female" with "naturally high testosterone." Semenya has XY chromosomes, and the "naturally high testosterone" is a result of Semenya being a male with testes. youtu.be/T0EqV6Tdi7w?si…
