Another win for Florida public workers! A Florida Education Association affiliate violated Florida law by denying Martin County teacher Kelley LaBedz access to union financial records on her request. After taking this issue to court, the union has been ordered to pay up.

The SALT Act requires so-called union salts to file the same reporting forms as consultants management hires to talk to employees. Workers deserve to know if they are talking to someone who is paid to persuade them on unionization, whether it is management or union.

With help from the @Liberty_at_work, teachers in the Continental School District secured an election— and the Ohio Education Association (OEA), a National Education Association (NEA) affiliate, withdrew rather than face an overwhelming defeat.
