By the time many teachers retire, they will have spent well over $30,000 on union dues to your (or NEA’s) bloated, top-down lobbyist group. I challenge ANY teacher to show me how their classroom is better off today—their profession less burdensome and bureaucratic—than when they began thanks to the thousands of dollars spent on AFT or NEA. Funding corporate big labor is the definition of insanity.

The complaint even references reports of a so called “hit list” of educators who had spoken out about district practices. Teachers repeatedly sought assistance from UTLA during this period. Emails show requests for union intervention, legal representation, and meetings with union leadership to address the retaliation. According to the complaint, those requests went unanswered. No formal grievance was filed. No union defense was initiated. thecurrentreport.com/complaint-file…

LAUSD whistleblowers are coming forward in large numbers to The Current Report after repeatedly taking their concerns to mainstream media and receiving silence in response. Their allegations raise serious questions about misconduct inside LAUSD and the treatment of those who tried to speak out. Now, with Superintendent Alberto Carvalho under federal criminal investigation, those voices are finally being heard. This investigation includes audio from a meeting with the LAUSD Office of Inspector General in which whistleblowers were explicitly warned they would face retaliation for coming forward, and in a significant way. There was no protection from the unions, the school board, or the State of California. This is the first in a series of reports detailing corruption and other alleged illegal activity within LAUSD. thecurrentreport.com/under-carvalho…

Teachers in 2 more Kansas school districts have voted out the NEA. We’ve officially surpassed 30 schools free from Corporate Big Labor in Kansas alone.

Prosecutors said that through a “decade of deceit and deception,” Brady stole at least $1,328,695 from DTU, through leave time that was sold back, but had not yet been earned. They also noted that Brady is an “individual – not just with influence – but also of means,” adding that she drives a Mercedes, lives in Avondale, and earned more than $150,000 a year as DTU president. news4jax.com/news/local/202…

Teachers are tired of the political theater & grift on BOTH sides. The Right: “Defund government schools,” “Public school teachers are Marxists,” “Remove tenure,” “Your pension is a burden on the taxpayer.” Also The Right: “Trust us. Leave your union.” The Left: “We’ll protect you.”

Our babies are depending on us!” screams teachers' union president Becky Pringle. “They’re not your kids, Becky. They're the parents’ children,” says @DeangelisCorey. His theory: Becky’s just worried about her gravy train. She does make $495,000 dollars a year:

That’s not policy failure—it’s messaging failure. And it’s driving good teachers straight into the arms of organizations they don’t even agree with.If we actually want reform, we have to start by changing our tone. Respect builds trust. Trust opens the door to real alternatives.

Teachers aren’t clinging to national unions because they love them. They’re clinging because they don’t trust anyone else to protect them. Corporate Big Labor is the devil they know. For years, political messaging—especially from the right—has told teachers their schools are failing, their pensions are a burden, and their profession is the problem. Then we ask them to “trust us” and walk away from the only structure that claims to defend them.
