@DoctorOfLoveJr @DrPlantel The vitamin k is produced by the bacteria of the gut. Newborns gut is sterile, breast milk doesn't contain enough vitamin k, so for a few days there isn't enough production of vitamin k, one single dose is enough to prevent a 1 in every 60 babies condition.

Vitamin K shot refusal has been common in "health freedom" circles for a long time. But it wasn't until that world joined with far right conspiracism that it became more mainstream. There is no legitimate scientific reason for a baby to not get a vitamin K shot.
