Purely anecdotal, but as someone who has been in the industry a long time, starting around 2018~ or so I started to notice (sadly) that my newer programming colleagues didn't want to talk about programming at lunch anymore, they mostly wanted to talk about finance / investing

It was surprisingly easy to spin up a secure .onion site on a spare laptop to access remotely. Access via @torproject browser was faster than expected, but I had no luck connecting via the Android app. Still, good fun.
