I worked through Covid and was laid off for two months until I finally found a service that would take me with a religious exemption- Me/paramedic- yes, I can start immediately. EMS agency- oh good, we are lacking medics bad right now. We can’t keep up with our call volume. Just need to know, have you taken the Covid vaccine? Me/paramedic- no, I have seen people die right after taking it. The last person I couldn’t get back, literally died in the shot line right after their shot. EMS agency- oh, well we can’t hire you then. I’m sorry. Me/paramedic- so you are desperately needing paramedics, you can’t keep up with the calls.
