The smell in the air in nYc on 9/11 (3 months before the fires got extinguished) had that smell mixed with the smell of burning hair & burning chemicals. It's seared into my memory

I was visiting my father in the hospital. He was undergoing heart surgery, a triple coronary bypass. Although he did not have a pig xenotransplant, there were other patients who did. And in the hospital waiting room, it is not private: You hear all of the other patients' family conversations. So yes, that is a thing, since at least 2015. For the cardiac bypass, they took a vein from my father's leg, and used it to supplant his heart. So he did not need to go on anti-rejection medication.

Peach blossoms. I had fun in my glass class today and definitely learned a lot. I made two spoons (pipes). It is really not that hard as it seems. My next pipe I will cover with peach blossoms. I don’t smoke but for someone that does it can be a good find.
