@jpkoch @JBlunt1018 @JackPosobiec So non-citizens aren’t under U.S. jurisdiction… but we can still arrest, prosecute, and deport them? Impressive argument… laws that don’t apply, but also do somehow still apply. You’re literally using U.S. law to argue U.S. law doesn’t apply. Pick a lane.

@LikeAMadWoman22 @JBlunt1018 @JackPosobiec Only a US citizen can be subject to US jurisdiction. If a baby is born to foreigners, the baby falls under the jurisdiction belonging the parents. That doesn’t foreigners living in the US are not subject to our laws.

Alito is very smart for bringing up military service requirements. In countries with compulsory service (South Korea, Israel, Russia), even if a child is born abroad, they are still required to serve in the military

@JBlunt1018 @JackPosobiec No, if you're a foreigner born here you are not subject to the US jurisdiction. You are still under the jurisdiction of your parent's country.

@JBlunt1018 @JackPosobiec This makes no sense. Jurisdiction and citizenship are not the same thing. Illegal immigrants are under the jurisdiction of the USA when they are here. But their citizenship is an entirely different question.

@greg_price11 People lose faith when the rules feel broken or easy to work around. Immigration and citizenship laws need to actually make sense together. A system only works when it is clear, steady, and applied the same way every time.

It just feels so painfully obvious that the 14th amendment does not mean that a 9-months pregnant woman from Mexico can cross the Rio Grande illegally, give birth, and be allowed to stay because her child is now a natural born citizen.

@greg_price11 It’s not that simple—Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution does grant citizenship by birth on U.S. soil, but it doesn’t automatically give parents the right to stay. Immigration law and citizenship law are related, but they’re not the same thing.

@SuTuDud @Timcast Then pass a constitutional amendment to change it. Executive order isn’t the way.

🚨 NOW: President Trump just witnessed a MASTERCLASS where Solicitor General John Sauer gave a perfect response to Justice John Roberts on birthright citizenship "What does that mean, subject to the jurisdiction thereof? And he says, it means not owing allegiance to ANYBODY ELSE. That is what it means." Illegal aliens owe allegiance to their country of birth, not America. Open and shut.

This separation of powers principle is exactly why justices are absent from the State of the Union address. Right, @kathrynw5 ? And why executive branch officials never testify before Congress. Because … SEparAShun o pOweRs! Yeah that’s the ticket!
Kathryn Watson@kathrynw5

If President Trump attends the Supreme Court's oral arguments tomorrow on his birthright citizenship executive order like he says he will, he would be the first sitting president on record to do so. Presidents have avoided attendance in part to honor the separation of powers.

@EricLDaugh This is historic and it shows how serious this issue really is. No other country just hands out citizenship like this and expects it to work long term. Birthright tourism has turned into a business and everyone knows it. It’s time for the Supreme Court to finally draw a line.

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump is about to become the FIRST-EVER sitting American president to attend Supreme Court oral arguments, ahead of the birthright citizenship case The US is the ONLY developed country to allow insane birthright tourism where Chinese billionaires have 100+ American children. STRIKE IT DOWN, SCOTUS!

@EricLDaugh Ain’t that the truth. The amendment was meant for slaves and their children. Just because “we’ve been doing it this way for 100 years” doesn’t mean it’s correct. Lets get this country headed in the RIGHT direction

@xxzebra5 @Lancegooden Or…. Perhaps Trump should just… get congressional approval. He’s got the majority in the House and Senate. Seems pretty straightforward to me. 🤷‍♀️

President FDR built an indoor swimming pool with private funds. President Obama built a basketball court with private funds. Yet a single judge can block President Trump from building a PRIVATELY FUNDED ballroom that would benefit generations to come.

🚨 JUST IN: Gavin Newsom's California is SUING President Trump over his executive order ensuring only citizens vote by mail, and that mail-in ballots are secure "We’re challenging it. See you in court." Of course the WORST STATE FOR FRAUD is IMMEDIATELY panicking! He's about to shop for an activist judge. Get ready for a fight all the way up. Congress should step in and CODIFY THIS NOW!

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump confirms the judge is WRONG and he does not need congressional approval to build his White House ball room “In the Ballroom case, the Judge said we have to get Congressional approval. He is WRONG! Congressional approval has never been given on anything, in these circumstances, big or small, having to do with construction at the White House. In this case, even less so, because the Ballroom is being built with Private Donations, no Federal Taxpayer Money!“

@itsmichaelnorth @WallStreetApes Yes, it was predicted. Once you force insurance cos to insure everyone, the prices are going to go up b/c the high-cost people can't be denied. Also, whenever gov't gets involved in an industry, the costs always increase.

This American’s daughter needs a tonsil surgery. The doctor said it would only be about a 20 minute surgery “In case anyone is curious at how f*cked up the United States medical system is, I just got an estimate — estimated cost $108,447.46” Our healthcare system is extortion

The liberals making fun of Kristi Noem’s husband right now have spent the last ten years telling us men can be women, men should be in women’s sports, and that trans people are the pinnacle of beauty. Now they’re upset with someone cross dressing? That’s their party platform! Just saying. It’s not my cup of tea at all, but the hypocrisy stands out to me. 🧐🤔
