@Knightly_Hist Possessed individuals are also incredibly difficult to kill and can rip an Astartes apart very quickly. Killing them before they can do anything is safest and a mercy to the poor soul being possessed.

Something I WAS TOLD (40K newbie) is that the famous scene where they kill the psyker could be an act of mercy.
In 40k souls are real tangible things that can be killed/erased. If a warp entity posesses you, you could experiment second death.
Quickly killing him could free his soul before the entity consumes it.
Obviously the way they way they go about it ties into the cold-blooded efficiency of the Astartes (they're neutralizing a potential threat) but I like that there *could* be more to it.

I think a bit of tacti-cool suits them very well. In "Astartes" they press their bolters against the ship's railing to absord the recoil as they mag dump, in order to keep the psykers busy as their comrades rush into melee. Methodic Marines>>>

@Fenrirtheicewo1 The first time I saw the lightning effect from Flash was when he went all out against Brianiac/Luthor and nearly lost himself in the Speed Force. The lightning should come out when he is going beyond his limits and trying his hardest to win.
