Hi @HMRCcustomers I think there's a weird bug in SA submission. Yesterday afternoon I completed my personal tax return but got a "problem with the system - not submitted" error page. Just logged in again to try. Was presented with the same error page on opening my tax return/1

@jeffreyjohnbell I think there are more than 6 taverns in Bristol within easy walking distance of our flat there now.

@RevRichardColes Did it give you the option to sign in with a Google account or something like that? If it does, and you have one of the specified accounts AND it uses the same email address, make sure you've signed into in a Browser then open FB and it might let you use that as authentication.

@katebevan I am now curious as to the clanger that led to this clarification.

@RealDramRob @RogerProtzBeer @CraftBeerHour @palmerstbottle @ArborAles Ooooh. Put some of this in the fridge earlier today. Looking forward to trying it when I knock off work tomorrow

@StagecoachSE This is happening again ... stagecoach app v UKB v4 29.0 on iPhone 14 iOS 17.6
Exactly the same 'payment by PayPal failed' (but it hadn't failed) had to restart app. Then ticket wouldn't activate until I'd restarted the app again.
English

@Lillput Good afternoon, we're sorry to hear this. Could you either DM us with the email address used to purchase the ticket or call us on 0345 241 8000 Thanks -NK
English

hi @StagecoachSE seems to be a bit of an issue with the app this morning (iOS, v4.26.0). Paying for a ticket using PayPal initially said didn't work, try again but PayPal released the payment. Forced Restart of app twice then tried to activate the ticket (esussex flexi10) /1

The charitable funding landscape is really tough at the moment so we're delighted to be accepted for this support.

Thanks so much to Herefordshire Community Foundation and the Joanies Fund for supporting us to restart some creative digital workshops for young people. It gives children skills to enjoy and work experience for the young people who run them.

@HunterIsobel @GoodThingsFdn @SciTechgovuk Libraries are brilliant and need to be a core part of people's access to digital resources but we need to not forget that some people don't feel comfortable in those settings, at least initially, and that community facilities are a vital enabler too.
English

Good to be at a round table today hosted by @GoodThingsFdn and @SciTechgovuk to explore the challenges to digital access and how they. An be tackled. Hopefully these discussions will help inform government policy and ensure libraries are at the heart of solutions

@fermentradio nooooooooo! The air is still warm, Cornwall (in particular) is fantastic with the prospect of the odd "interesting" storm in fishing villages also it stops being so damned hot at night. :-)

@MolloyLaurence @sussex_police I seriously doubt we've been targeted but we work in an area where there may be potential targets of various sorts. Everyone is just being sensibly cautious, I think.
English

@Lillput @sussex_police It's a frightening time right now. I think a lot of normal folks (the significant silent majority) are going to be on edge tonight. However, it must be especially frightening for organisations that have been identified as possible targets. Stay safe.
English

Big shout out to @sussex_police for popping in and checking everything's OK. We really appreciate it.
English

@MolloyLaurence @sussex_police Thank you. We work in a "challenged" area of the town and support a huge variety of people with their essential digital skills.
English

@Lillput @sussex_police Gosh. I hadn't realised that you might be in the firing line Liz... especially today. Thoughts and prayers.

@ed_podesta Likewise. I hear the shift when I'm back in Bristol but not until it comes out of my mouth

@DannyVet @drphilhammond Can we also remember that, for a lot of patients, they can't book their appt via a website, and they can't look up their symptoms on the NHS website. Some serious investment to get people safely online, using local folk they can trust would probably be investment > expense

@samculham @JulieBygraves @FT Yep. But part of the reasons the big ones swallow the small ones is that they need the services and they feel the urge to bring them inside so they conform to their internal policies (for good, or ill).

The Microsoft problems are already shaping up to be one of the biggest IT outages ever, affecting countless businesses and individuals all over the world. But what actually happened? We explain on.ft.com/3Y97CEY

English

@JulieBygraves @FT might take the view that "we can't trust these guys to do it properly so best we start doing it ourselves" and that will lead to an even more conglomerated environment. /end
English

@JulieBygraves @FT Modern systems are immensely complex and underlying it are a stunningly small number of "trusted" support services. I think that this particular "support" services reputation and stock in IT community might well be shaken a bit. My guess might be that some of the tech giants /2
