@Steve_Sailer @StatisticUrban In the Americas, we know that humans probably arrived and dispersed about 25-20000 years ago, so there was a period of time when humans were living with the large megafauna but didn't instantly kill them off. We also know there was little megafauna die off in Africa.

@StatisticUrban Back in the 1990s, the Page Museum at the La Brea Tarpits in Los Angeles explained that the reason so many megafauna species went extinct right after humans showed up 10,000+ years ago was NOT because they were delicious, but because of, uh, climate change. Or something.

@tanakangerine @MoronAdvanced @TheDougFiles I have a lot more time for both RDR games compared to the GTA games that precede them. That is another thing about IV of course, its just so damn repetitive, its the same thing 90% of the time, and there's very few missions that encourage any sort of creativity.

It's crazy every adaptation of any game or book always get criticized of it's not being accurate enough and people agree that it's bad and it should be more acurate to the source material but for some reason Resident Evil sould not get a faithful adaptation !?

@tanakangerine @MoronAdvanced @TheDougFiles Like Vice City and San Andreas have their big robbery missions with multiple setup missions that play into the finale, and then of course V for all its faults made a pretty serious effort to make heists with various gameplay choices a core mechanic.

@tanakangerine @MoronAdvanced @TheDougFiles Even the bank heist mission is just a particularly big shootout, its actually probably the worst bank robbery mission in the series since there's no buildup or planning like the others.

@MoronAdvanced @TheDougFiles contrasts so much with the rest of the series and a lot of other open world games, but that's not enough to make it actually good (and imo, the plot has a lot of problems). GTA's best games are still found on the PS2.

@MoronAdvanced @TheDougFiles I'm seriously an extremely dedicated GTA IV hater, I even replayed the game earlier this year to see if there was something I missed and its genius would shine through, but no it didn't, I think its seriously fundamentally flawed and mostly held up because its serious tone...

@dmontetheno1 Dennett was fine. Hitchens was lucky he died before he got exposed for how badly he aged and Harris is obviously a disaster. Dawkins is a parody of himself. Whole thing is being a scientist and anti-religion and now is transphobic and “culturally christian”
