Gabbard Says ‘IC Has High Confidence That We Know Where’ Iran’s Highly Enriched Uranium Is dailytorch.com/2026/03/gabbar… “The [Intelligence Community] IC has high confidence that we know where it is… We can speak more about this topic in the classified setting.” That was Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s answer to U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) in a March 19 House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence hearing about whatever became of Iran’s highly enriched uranium following June 2025’s air strikes by the U.S. against Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities. When asked if the U.S. had the capability of destroying the nuclear materials, Gabbard would not say a thing in the open hearing: “This is a conversation for a closed setting, sir.” Sometimes the biggest questions to come out of Congressional hearings are the ones that were not asked very openly. But it’s the biggest story in the world right now. It could be lessons learned. One of the reasons we thought Iraq still had WMD was because after a decade Iraq was sending signals it potentially still had them even though they were largely destroyed, and so they could never be found. The important part is President Trump perceived an imminent threat and acted on it. The intelligence community is telling the President it knows where the enriched uranium is. If that's the assessment Gabbard is giving the President, then he is well-served that his intelligence chief is not just going to say something if she doesn’t know it's true. In this case, she says there is “high confidence”. Maybe the real lesson for President Trump is: Don’t wait a decade to find out if you got the nukes. Finish the job, Mr. President.

SAVE America Act Seems Like Common Sense, It Takes More ID To Dump Trash Than to Vote! youtube.com/watch?v=TsUItX… Senate Majority Leader John Thune does not seem to feel the SAVE America Act will pass with flying colors. It seems strange since requiring ID to vote seems like common sense. We review the forms of ID needed to dump trash versus what is needed to vote in America.

40 Percent Of Likely Voters Say Democrats More Concerned With Stopping Trump Than Fixing the Country dailytorch.com/2026/03/40-per… Republicans are facing several headwinds leading into the 2026 election cycle. They are members of the incumbent party in a midterm cycle tasked with defending their positions in the House and Senate, and President Trump’s approval rating is still underwater, though he did receive a bump after his State of the Union speech and in the early stages of the Iran conflict. However, with the Iran conflict causing light sweet crude oil to spike to around $98 a barrel as of this writing, if the conflict does not resolve quickly the progress he made on tackling inflation could be undone. That said, the Republican Party has something the Democratic Party does not and has not for some time: a vison for the country that voters can identify. While the GOP is facing challenges in the midterms, Republicans have come out with strong consistent messaging on issues like enforcing border security, deporting illegal criminals, reducing crime in cities, and offering solutions to consumer gripes about the healthcare crisis. More importantly, Republicans are delivering on creating the most secure border in history, bringing crime to numbers not seen since 1900, and delivering on lower prescription drug costs while laying out a blueprint for a consumer-focused free market healthcare model. What are Democrats doing? According to voters, Democrats are primarily concerned with opposing President Trump rather than offering solutions. The latest Cygnal survey of likely midterm voters conducted March 3-4 shows the largest share of Americans — 40 percent — say the Democratic Party is mostly focused on opposing President Trump’s vision for the country rather than offering solutions of their own. The survey also shows Republicans lead Democrats nearly three-to-one on having a clear vision for the country. 27 percent of voters say the Republican Party has a clear, compelling vision for the country, but just 11 percent say the Democrat Party does.

No, President Trump Did Not Go To War ‘Due To Pressure From Israel’ Or ‘Its Powerful American Lobby’ dailytorch.com/2026/03/no-pre… @realDonaldTrump @POTUS Former National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent resigned from his post in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on March 17 due to what he stated was because President Donald Trump had allegedly taken the U.S. to war with Iran on behalf of Israel, writing in his resignation letter without proof, “it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby…” adding “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation…”The decision to attack Iran, both in June 2025 and again in February 2026 in joint U.S.-Israeli military operations, was made by President Trump, in accordance with his constitutional Article II executive powers as Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. armed forces and to conduct foreign relations, and provided appropriate notifications to Congress under the 1973 War Powers Act. In the both actions, the President clearly stated to the American people what U.S. interests were at stake as combat operations were ensuing, stating on March 1, “An Iranian regime armed with long range missiles and nuclear weapons would be a dire threat to every American. We cannot allow a nation that raises terrorist armies to possess such weapons [that] would allow them to extort the world to their evil will. Not going to let it happen. We're not [letting it] happening to us and we're not going to let it happen to others.” And then, months later, as nuclear negotiations with Iran once again broke down, U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff told Fox News’ Sean Hannity they still had enough material to make almost a dozen nuclear bombs: “Both the Iranian negotiators said to us, directly, with, you know, no shame, that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60 percent, and they’re aware that that could make 11 nuclear bombs, and that was the beginning of their negotiating stance.” That was after Operation Midnight Hammer. Despite the President reporting that the enrichment facilities had been destroyed, Iran was still claiming to have the materials that had already been enriched. What was he supposed to do? Wait to see if they were bluffing?

You Like Cheap Gas? Then You Need The U.S. Navy Protecting Shipping Lanes Including The Strait Of Hormuz. dailytorch.com/2026/03/you-li… @realDonaldTrump @VP “[T]hey should be thanking me because many of them get 90 percent... [of] their energy from the straits and or as they call it the strait and they should be not only thanking us, they should be helping us. What does surprise me is that they're not eager to help. There are a couple, we'll be announcing some names. There are some that really were right up front.” That was President Donald Trump taking questions from reporters in the Oval Office on March 16, noting the distinction between really good allies who will help us in a war versus our other, more gentle allies who don’t seem to want to do anything even when their interests — for example, getting oil out of the Persian Gulf that provides 20 percent of the global oil supply — are at stake. As of this writing, light sweet crude oil is trading at about $94 a barrel and Brent crude oil is trading at about $101 a barrel, while the Strait of Hormuz that leads from the Persian Gulf along the southern coast of Iran to the Gulf of Oman, remains closed, as Iran keeps targeting oil and gas infrastructure in the Middle East including oil tankers that traverse the Strait. If ever there was a textbook case for why the U.S. always seems to be involved militarily around the world, this is it. That is, if you want cheap oil and gasoline — every poll says that inflation and the economy remain the top issues for voters — then you need the U.S. Navy to be protecting shipping lanes including the Strait of Hormuz. How could one come to any other conclusion? The alternative would be to try to keep oil and gasoline prices lower by appeasing terrorist countries like Iran, which has been exporting its revolution for 47 years, that have been seeking nuclear weapons. Here, President Trump is testing U.S. allies by asking them to do the most basic thing to preserve the peace: Protect the global economy and shipping lanes. But what we’re once again learning is that our gentle allies not only have no interest standing with the U.S., they don’t even have an interest in protecting themselves and their interests.

Trump: ‘I Have To Do What’s Right’ And Stop Iran’s Nuclear Threat, Oil Prices And Polls Be Damned dailytorch.com/2026/03/trump-… @realDonaldTrump “I have to do what's right. You know, political, I’m sure, everybody has concern. I have to do what's right. I can't say that, you know, gee, I don't want to have any impact on oil prices for three or four weeks or two months and we're going to let Iran have a nuclear weapon and blow up the entire Middle East and beyond, right?” That was President Donald Trump aboard Air Force One on March 15 responding to a reporter’s question “Do you have any concerns about the political impacts of this?” referring to high oil prices, which clocked in at $95 a barrel of this writing with the Strait of Hormuz still effectively closed. And polls that show the American people on the margins opposed to military intervention in Iran. For example, a recent Quinnipiac poll taken March 6 to March 8, that found voters opposed the war 53 percent to 40 percent. The gap in support, much like the President’s overall approval, is pretty much a gender gap. 52 percent of men support the action, versus 43 percent opposed, and 63 percent of women oppose the action, versus 30 percent supporting it. That’s a 9-point gap in favor by men and a 33-point gap in opposition by women. Say what you will, but the President cannot be accused of fighting a war for political gain. In this case, there are lots of economic and political costs. But neither the prices nor the polls matter, says Trump. That is, the President is not going to let the high oil prices or low poll numbers deter him from defending the United States, its interests and its national security from an existential nuclear threat from Iran — or anywhere else.

Democrats Still Holding Homeland Security Funding Hostage After Four Terror Attacks In Two Weeks dailytorch.com/2026/03/democr… Since the U.S. and Israel launched the latest offensive against Iran almost two weeks ago, there have already been four Islamist terror attacks on U.S. soil in Texas, New York, Virginia and Michigan. And yet, Democrats in Congress still refuse to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Even without the war including last June's Operation Midnight Hammer that targeted Iran's nuclear weapons facilities, after the October 7 terror attacks in Israel and the ensuing Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, there has been an ongoing heightened terror threat, with anti-Semitic and anti-U.S. forces attacks on the rise, that DHS needs to be functional in order to fulfill its statutory counterterrorism mission. Democrats are blackmailing the American people who voted for President Donald Trump in 2024 to secure the border and restore deterrence to illegal immigration by deporting illegal aliens, including by boosting resources to ICE and the Border Patrol by about $140 billion in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Southwest border encounters are now down to almost zero, and by targeting recidivist criminals including illegal alien criminals, violent crime is hitting all-time lows. The policies are working, and to subvert them, Democrats are holding Homeland Security funding hostage. The strategy appears to be to peel out ICE and the Border Patrol and use the shutdown to drain the additional funds from those agencies. Forcing the Transportation Security Administration, the Coast Guard, the Secret Service and other DHS employees to work without pay will not change the outcome of the 2024 election or change the policies that President Trump was elected to implement. But it might demoralize those entrusted with protecting the homeland at the worst possible time. This is being done because Democrats are paying no political price for it.

President Trump Was Recovering With Hispanic And Black Voters But Rising Oil Costs Could Wipe Out Those Gains dailytorch.com/2026/03/presid… Two weeks into President Donald Trump’s decision to launch an attack against Iran to end its pursuit of nuclear weapons, polls show President Trump’s approval rating ticking up among voters as the rally around the flag effect kicks in. His latest net approval rating is up 2.2 points since Feb. 23. Voters were just beginning to feel relief from Biden-era inflation last month. A Harvard CAPS/HarrisX poll from Feb. 25-26 conducted after President Trump’s State of the Union (SOTU) speech found 51 percent of voters said the economy is strong, up two points from Jan. 2026 and a full eight points from Nov. 2025. However, the conflict with Iran is causing 20 percent of the world’s oil supply to come to a standstill since Iran retaliated against U.S. military operations by threatening oil vessels passing from the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz. This has elevated the price of oil — currently at $94 a barrel as of this writing — which will be reflected in inflation numbers for March once that report is released next month. This spike in oil prices could already be doing damage to President Trump’s approval rating, particularly among Hispanics, a group he was strongly recovering with near the end of February. In the Economist/YouGov survey from Feb. 27-March 2 a full 40 percent of Hispanics approved of the way President Trump was handling his job, up four percentage points from early January when 36 percent approved. That number was also up a full 15 percentage points since Oct. 17-20, 2025, when just 25 percent of Hispanics approved of the job President Trump was doing. President Trump was well on the way to recovering Hispanic support last month. However, just over two weeks into the conflict with Iran with fuel prices rising, President Trump’s approval rating has taken a 12-point nosedive, with the latest Economist/YouGov survey from March 6-9 showing just 28 percent of Hispanics approve of the job President Trump is doing.

After Four Terror Attacks In Two Weeks, Democrats Still Holding Homeland Security Funding Hostage getliberty.org/2026/03/after-… @realDonaldTrump @SpeakerJohnson @LeaderJohnThune @RepJeffries @SenSchumer March 13, 2026, Fairfax, Va.—Americans for Limited Government Executive Director Robert Romano today issued the following statement urging Congress to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security: “Since the U.S. and Israel launched the latest offensive against Iran almost two weeks ago, there have already been four Islamist terror attacks on U.S. soil in Texas, New York, Virginia and Michigan. And yet, Democrats in Congress still refuse to fund the Department of Homeland Security. “Democrats are blackmailing the American people who voted for President Donald Trump in 2024 to secure the border and restore deterrence to illegal immigration by deporting illegal aliens, including by boosting resources to ICE and the Border Patrol by about $140 billion in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Southwest border encounters are now down to almost zero, cbp.gov/newsroom/stats… and by targeting recidivist criminals including illegal alien criminals, violent crimeis hitting all-time lows. axios.com/2026/01/22/mur… The policies are working, and to subvert them, Democrats are holding Homeland Security funding hostage. They want to peel out ICE and the Border Patrol and use the shutdown to drain the additional funds from those agencies. dailytorch.com/2026/03/democr… “Forcing TSA, Coast Guard, Secret Service and other DHS employees to work without pay will not change the outcome of the 2024 election or change the policies that President Trump was elected to implement. But it might demoralize those entrusted with protecting the homeland at the worst possible time. “This is being done because Democrats are paying no political price for it. They think the 2026 Congressional midterms are in the bag and so are behaving arrogantly. This is what happens when you put politics ahead of the safety and security of the American people. Shame. We've already had four terrorist attacks during this shutdown. Yes, these appear to be lone wolf attacks responding to the war in Iran, but again, it's a heightened threat environment. We don’t have time to muck around. We're not opening up the border and we're not stopping deportations which create deterrence for would-be illegal aliens, including terror cells. It doesn't even make sense. “Even if Democrats win the House and Senate in 2026, they will almost certainly not have veto-proof margins, and still will be unable to force changes in this manner, which the President would just veto. Right now, they don’t even have majorities in either chamber, so they don’t get to write the funding bill. “In so doing, Democrats are tempting fate. By waiting for negative feedback from the shutdown via public opinion, the longer the shutdown goes on, and the more attacks that occur, they are cynically betting President Trump and Republicans will be blamed. The problem with gambling all-in is eventually you'll lose the bet. After 2026, the political pendulum will swing the other way, and the question will be, especially if the war wears on, why Democrats with their newfound majorities are paralyzing the ability of the federal government to fight a resilient enemy and endangering the American people. It’s a dangerous game, and when America is attacked, public opinion has proven it can swing rapidly.” To view online: getliberty.org/2026/03/after-… Attachments: “Democrats Won’t Fund Homeland Security Because They Don’t Think They Need To,” By Robert Romano, March 12, 2026 at dailytorch.com/2026/03/democr…
