@LinMan1978 @neas_meducation @JRCALCguidance The skill is taught to Paramedics (I am the Paramedic and Clinical Education Officer in the photo) but is demonstrated to CCAs and Technicians to give an example of the treatment pathways we would follow and what they should expect to see.

On Friday our CCAs put their maternity skills to practice with some obstetric emergencies 🚑 well done guys!

@Rachael_Knox @neas_meducation @JRCALCguidance Thank you Rach. Was this training for Paramedics then? I thought you said they were CCAs. Only questioning this having taught Bi-man to MW + Ob rotational Drs for many years, they do other internal examinations/ interventions and still need to perfect this as a skill.

@LinMan1978 @neas_meducation @JRCALCguidance Hi Lin, @JRCALCguidance states “bimanual uterine compression is an invasive procedure requiring intimate internal manoeuvres and may be considered only by those Paramedics that have received appropriate training to undertake this life saving intervention.”
