For anyone taking care of dementia patients (or parents), try to go with the flow and adopt a sense of humor. And stay inside their story. Chuck thought he was on a ship so I just agreed with him and we had a great time. ❤️

The day is young and I am going to do some thrift shopping on Cave Creek. I am going to share a secret with you all about thrifting. Always go to the shops sponsored by the Animal Charities and by the Church. That is who old women like me leave the really good stuff to.

@summerbreeze002 @CTrevorNelson @CollinYourbs Hospice of the Valley has free grief groups. Before Covid, they were open to everybody. I don’t think that’s changed. They are well done and many of my patients have found it helpful

Trauma is a real fucking bitch. It’s also absolutely crippling when you can’t find a semi productive therapist. (Criticism for both sides but reading off a website on zoom verbatim is NOT helpful 🙄) #MentalHealthAwareness

First responders want to be equipped to handle every challenge imaginable. So when Hospice of the Valley offered a novel training exercise that puts firefighters in the shoes of someone living with dementia, they were all in. #AZNEWSMEDIA yourvalley.net/apache-junctio…

It has been months of searching and… Mom and I finally found a part-time caregiver we both like! 🥳 The thing we compromised most on? Medical experience. That may sound risky or unwise, but honestly, I’ve found it matters most how the caregiver makes my mom FEEL 💜 #endalz

My mom Carol passed away Oct 17 suffering from Alzheimers for years. We wouldn't have gotten through without help of Hospice of the Valley. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Hospice of the Valley in memory of my wonderful mom Carol Ronca hov.org/donate/donate-…

Sad to hear of the passing of Kent Dana — a legendary broadcaster who was among the best of the best. Kent was a dedicated newsman, a role model to many and a true believer in the value of local reporting. His legacy lives on with @JoeDanaReports! 12news.com/article/news/l…
