For anyone taking care of dementia patients (or parents), try to go with the flow and adopt a sense of humor. And stay inside their story. Chuck thought he was on a ship so I just agreed with him and we had a great time. ❤️

@summerbreeze002 @CTrevorNelson @CollinYourbs Hospice of the Valley has free grief groups. Before Covid, they were open to everybody. I don’t think that’s changed. They are well done and many of my patients have found it helpful

Trauma is a real fucking bitch. It’s also absolutely crippling when you can’t find a semi productive therapist. (Criticism for both sides but reading off a website on zoom verbatim is NOT helpful 🙄) #MentalHealthAwareness

It has been months of searching and… Mom and I finally found a part-time caregiver we both like! 🥳 The thing we compromised most on? Medical experience. That may sound risky or unwise, but honestly, I’ve found it matters most how the caregiver makes my mom FEEL 💜 #endalz
