Go Warhawks!!
Lincoln Moore (@Lincoln3Moore) walked into Scott County knowing this would not be a welcome party, it was his second game back from injury on the road in a gym that felt more like a pressure cooker than a JV matchup, with an electric atmosphere, a loud restless crowd, and every possession carrying weight because this was not for the faint of heart but resistance at every turn. From the opening tip, there was no love lost as bodies hit the floor, screens were set with force, every drive came with contact, and every rebound had hands fighting for it, making it feel like something bigger than a typical JV game where pride was on the line, and neither side was willing to blink.
In the middle of that storm stood Lincoln, and what separated this performance was not just production but maturity because he did not rush or force action, he read the game and controlled it, attacking seams when pressure was tight, stepping into rhythm shots when defenders crowded him, and calmly delivering at the line in a hostile environment where every free throw echoed through the gym. He finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 2 drawn charges, and shot 2-4 from 3 and 14-16 from the FT line, numbers that tell part of the story but not the full weight of it.
There were moments when Scott County surged, and the noise swelled, when the physicality tried to rattle him, yet instead of backing down, he embraced the contact, absorbed hits, got up every time, and steadied his team with poise beyond his years. The fourth quarter felt like a test of heart where every bucket had to be earned, and every stop demanded sacrifice. Lincoln did not just play through adversity; he carried it, willing Great Cross to a 65-56 hard-fought win that had to be taken, not given, delivering the most mature game of his young career in a battle that was electric, extremely physical, and fueled by relentless intent.

The best player on a team isn’t always the player who scores the most. Sometimes it’s the player who has a high IQ or a diverse/versatile skill set or a player who is unselfish & coachable or who knows their role inside & out. Basing “good” only on points scored is a big mistake!
🏀 2029 6’0” Great Crossing @GCwarhawksbball G Lincoln Moore
One of Kentucky’s top freshmen, Moore is a very fundamental guard with deep shooting range, strong defense, downhill attacking ability, high IQ, and leadership. A true two-way prospect with big upside.
The defending state champs have a farm of talent. 💍
