A tunnel in southern Lebanon that served as a Hezbollah command center was recently demolished by combat engineers, the IDF says. According to the military, the underground facility was used by Hezbollah to direct numerous rocket attacks on Israeli towns in the Galilee in the past year. Troops located weapons, surveillance equipment, and other military gear inside the tunnel, the IDF says. The IDF says several weapons depots were located near the tunnel, including one inside a mosque, where hundreds of explosive devices, guns, grenades, and other equipment were stored. After the tunnel was fully investigated by the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit, it was blown up.

@DonShift3 @vcstar If enough tickets are given out, behavior of speeding will change. When the purse is touched, it makes a difference. I hate speed bumps but they put them on Park Ave. already and unless you want to destroy your car, they do make people slow down.

Lower speed limits (alone) won't be effective unless the public adopts them via their driving behavior. The effect of allowing municipalities to drop the speed limit by 5 MPH regardless of what traffic actually drives will be to potentially increase speed citations. Collision frequency and severity is not likely to be significantly affected. The change to the Vehicle Code to allow this simply allows knee-jerk reactions by city councils.

The City’s 311 Green Team consists of Public Works employees who respond to 311 service requests for clean up of illegal dumping throughout Oxnard. In total, 𝟐,𝟐𝟖𝟐,𝟕𝟒𝟎 𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡 were collected by the 311 Green Team from July 2022 through June 2023 👏!

@CityofOxnard I called in about my alley which is between So. J and Jackson alley and the two ends of it are Teakwood and Spruce. I do use my garage so would have to have notice to not park in the garage on whatever day if fixing. I have lived in my home for 46 years and alley never paved.

@DrLucyJones I felt the quake very strongly and it seemed to go on and on until I was thinking I might need to get in the doorway of my bedroom. I was sitting up on my bed when it began and my bed is not on a frame but directly on the floor and it kept swaying back and forth. I prayed.

Yes, we just had an earthquake. It looks like it was preceded by a small foreshock sequence(largest M2.5) that began Saturday morning
