‼️ ZELENSKYY: For the first time in the war, an enemy position was captured entirely by ground robotic systems and drones - without any infantry. A robot entered the most dangerous zones instead of a soldier and took the positions. «The future is here, on the battlefield, and Ukraine is creating it. These are our ground robotic systems. For the first time in this war's history, an enemy position was taken exclusively by unmanned GRS platforms and drones. The occupiers surrendered, and this operation was completed without infantry involvement and without losses on our side. Ratel, Termite, Ardal, Lynx, Zmiy, Protector, Volya and other GRS completed over 22 000 missions at the front in just 3 months. In other words, over 22 000 times lives were saved. A robot went into the most dangerous zones instead of a soldier» - Zelenskyy’s address to the workers of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex. April 13th, 2026.

On Sunday, Hungary will hold parliamentary elections. These elections loom large the world over. Viktor Orbán is a central figure in the international far right and his loss would be blow to familiar figures like Vance and Trump, who are his pupils. snyder.substack.com/p/the-hungaria…

With this settlement the US is worse off in every way than it was before the war; Iran is strengthened by the huge new tolls in the Straits of Hormuz, paid by the whole world. (1/14)

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.

I have just spoken with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. I expressed France’s full solidarity in the face of the indiscriminate strikes carried out by Israel in Lebanon today, which resulted in a very high number of civilian casualties. We condemn these strikes in the strongest possible terms. They pose a direct threat to the sustainability of the ceasefire that has just been reached. Lebanon must be fully covered by it. I reiterated the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and France’s determination to support the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to uphold the country’s sovereignty and implement the Hezbollah disarmament plan.

Absurd and inhuman violence is spreading ferociously through the sacred places of the Christian East, profaned by the blasphemy of war and the brutality of business, with no regard for people’s lives, which are considered at most collateral damage of self-interest. But no gain can be worth the life of the weakest, children, or families. No cause can justify the shedding of innocent blood.

If you’re wondering how intense the bombing in Beirut was yesterday, then you need to watch this video. It documents the bombardment around the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, near my family’s home in Nov 2023. This is what we call a “fire belt,” in Arabic, meaning relentless, consecutive strikes that feel like hell itself. I lived through this many times in Gaza before we left for Egypt. It feels like the end of the world, as if you’re standing in flames from every direction, with no escape and no way out. Don’t look away from this video. #Gaza #Lebanon #Beirut #Israël #Israel

The Israeli drones are back, loud, low, & menacing hovering over the skies of Beirut once again. Yes, we are all traumatised from Black Wednesday. We are exhausted, grieving, & trying to make sense of the senseless. What happened that day was no ordinary strike. It was not just an attack. It was a mass killing of unimaginable scale. The images of the children, the elderly, & the innocent civilians stay with us; the scars are still fresh, still raw, & they will remain for a very long time. It came close, too close. We find ourselves thanking God that we are alive, only to be overcome with guilt, knowing that while we were spared, our fellow countrymen, our children, our men & women, were not. So when the drones return, sounding as they did the night before the attacks, the same feeling comes back. That same sickness. That same knot in the stomach.

Sweden condemns the recent Israeli decision to establish over 30 new settlements in the West Bank. The settlements are a flagrant violation of international law and undermine the ongoing efforts for peace and stability in the region. We call on the Government of Israel to reverse them immediately and to respect its international obligations. eeas.europa.eu/eeas/israelpal…

Yesterday at approximately 13:00, two KAB-250 aerial bombs struck my medical point. The first detonation occurred while I was on the porch organizing medical supplies. Inside, my nurse @once_upon_a_travel_nurse was caring for recovering servicemen, assisted by @ryeioww. Another female soldier was preparing food. Two servicemen under active care were present, including one with severe combat injuries resulting in blindness and loss of function in one leg. Immediately after the first strike, my nurse and I established verbal contact and confirmed that all personnel were alive. Without hesitation, the team responded with discipline and composure. We began evacuating the wounded from the structure, moving them across the street while coordinating transport for further evacuation. During this process, a second bomb struck. The second impact, a FAB-250, is a 250-kilogram high-explosive aerial bomb carrying approximately 120 kilograms of explosive material, designed to destroy infrastructure and fortified positions with a blast radius of roughly 120 meters. It detonated directly at the rear of the medical point. The explosion caused a structural collapse. The ceiling fell onto my nurse, who, despite the impact, continued providing care. I sustained shrapnel injury to the thigh. Vivi maintained focus and continued assisting with the evacuation, ensuring the wounded were loaded into a vehicle. All vehicles at the site were destroyed. The medical point was completely demolished. Despite the scale of the strike, all personnel survived. The strength and resilience of my amazing girls is unmatched, and without them, the outcome would have been much different

Last night, Russia struck Odesa with attack drones. Residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a district power substation have been damaged. Thousands of families have been left without electricity. Repair crews have been working since the night to restore power supply. As of now, tragically, three people have been reported killed in this attack, including a child – just two years old. My sincere condolences to the families and loved ones. Sixteen people have been wounded. Eleven of them have been hospitalized by our medics, including a pregnant woman and two children. The youngest is not even a year old. Two people have also been injured in the Kharkiv region. Energy infrastructure was struck in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipro regions. I thank our emergency services helping on the ground. In total, overnight, the Russians launched more than 140 attack drones against Ukraine, nearly 80 of them “shaheds.” In some regions, strikes are still ongoing. And this is only part of what our people endure every day. During the past week, over 2,800 attack drones were used, along with nearly 1,350 guided aerial bombs, and more than 40 missiles of various types. Right now, all partners need to strengthen air defense together so that the interception rate of drones and missiles continues to increase. This is a daily effort for everyone, not just Ukraine, because through supplies, support for us, and joint work, our partners are helping themselves as well. Russia has no intention of stopping. I thank everyone who understands this and contributes to our shared defense.

Kherson is under constant mass attacks by russian FPV drones. The number of victims grows every day — russian forces are hunting cars on the roads. Anyone moving through the city can become a target for swarms of fiber-optic drones. The videos show only a few of these strikes. In the first video, recorded today, a 35-year-old police captain was simply driving when a drone struck his car, killing him. Moving through Kherson has turned into a matter of survival amid relentless FPV drone attacks.
