@sam2alphaa @rooneywondering @herechigoes Paolo was projected to be the third pick the entire draft process up until draft night. Also Markelle and Lonzo were looked at as better prospects than Chet and bari. Boston also would’ve drafted Tatum at one if Philly didn’t agree to trade up

This what Black coaches gotta do, MVP QB but has to be a college analyst
Jordan Schultz@Schultz_Report

Sources: Former #Ravens QBs coach Tee Martin is being hired by Lane Kiffin as an offensive analyst at LSU. Martin, who has been in Baltimore since 2021, now returns to the college ranks and reunites with Kiffin, who hired him at USC back in 2012.

Stan Van Gundy thinks teams should be able to sign rookies as free agents and that the NBA should eliminate the draft “I’d get rid of the draft. No draft. You still have the salary cap, if you want to go give Cooper Flagg $45 million a year coming out of college, do it, he’s a free agent. Everybody coming out is a free agent. With no draft, there’s no incentive to lose, there’s none at all.” (Via awfulannouncing.com/nba/stan-van-g…)

@Jonnyla_77 @KutterIsKing It’s less money for the top players, but more money for majority of players if there’s also a salary floor implemented

That same 33rd largest media market in America gets to have one of the best shortstops of all time for his full career What are we even doing here? Every time I see this guy’s tweets, it’s nothing but bootlicking for billionaires because his team isn’t going to pay Paul Skenes
Nutzy@Nutzypoo_ttv

No disrespect to Fuzzy, but he just kind of outlined why MLB DOES need a cap. Kansas City, the 33rd largest media market in America, gets to have one of the greatest QBs of all time for his full career. That's not really a luxury smaller market MLB teams get to have.

@g_racc @BANKS_DROY Most of the counting stats is due to longevity and playing in the most pass friendly era for QBs. If you look at those passing lists, he’s behind a lot of qbs who he played at the same time with. He was never a top five qb and wasn’t even top ten for most of his career

@LinusManning @BANKS_DROY 16 years do Top 10 in every major qb stat at time of retirement & still top 11 rn I believe 2x sb mvp 4x pro bowler 210 consecutive games Threw for 6k Also 2 of the toughest playoff runs in history All this during the best qb era How is this not a hofer

@JustifiedBecuz @BANKS_DROY I just don’t think that saying Eli is better than the worst hall of famer is a good argument. He was never a top five qb in the league and wasn’t even top ten for most of it. I don’t think two playoff runs is enough to make someone a hall of famer

@LinusManning @BANKS_DROY But he is in, and it’s not like the league would’ve shed the AFl if he didn’t win. His impact is only marginally greater than Eli’s

@JustifiedBecuz @BANKS_DROY I don’t think either should be in, but again the argument for Namath isn’t based on his career, but for his greater impact on the league. We likely don’t have the nfl like it is today if Namath doesn’t win that game. And one bad HOFer doesn’t mean let more mid players in

@LinusManning @BANKS_DROY And Eli beat the greatest qb to ever play the sport… twice, once against the greatest team to ever play the sport. And he was mid even by the standards of the time. Couldn’t even get that .500 record people criticize Eli for. If Namath is in, Eli is. Indisputable.

@JustifiedBecuz @BANKS_DROY Well you also have to put in context. Joe Namath was the qb for the first AFL team to beat the NFL champion in the Super Bowl, essentially giving that league credibility and leading to what we have now. He also played in a run heavy era, so his stats aren’t gonna look good now
