@KrakenCombo Oh wow so the object pooling does the heavy load lifting here? That's wild. Do you turn on/off the rigid body when they are not directly being used I imagine? Thanks for sharing!

@LiquidDataArts Believe it or not, but each bullet has its own Rigidbody. I used sweep tests for fast collisions, until I realized that it was waaay less performant. Pretty sure it wouldn't handle another thousand bullets like that tho

Crazy what proper optimization lets you get away with. Simple billboard quads for both bullets + shadows, GPU instancing and a simple pooling system gets around 2k bullets not dropping below 300 FPS on build. Two drawcalls, that's it. No SRP Batcher. #gamedev #indiedev
