YouTube is wide open for remodeling and construction guys and nobody is taking it seriously. I searched kitchen remodeler and bathroom remodeler in random cities the other day just to see what would pop up. Videos with 12 views. Content from 5 years ago. Stuff that looks like it was filmed on a flip phone still ranking because nobody has posted anything since. If you were a serious remodeler in your city and wanted to dominate YouTube it would be the easiest thing you have ever done. Just post decent videos showing your work. But here is the key. You have to localize everything. Do not make broad content about remodeling trends trying to get national views. That is not going to generate leads. You are not trying to be a home improvement influencer. Every single video needs your city in it. Full kitchen remodel transformation in Scottsdale. How we gutted this 1980s bathroom in Tampa. What homeowners in Denver need to know before starting a renovation. People watch you. They see the before and after. They see your crew showing up and doing quality work. They see you explaining the process like a professional. They start to know like and trust you. Then they decide to finally do that kitchen remodel they have been putting off for 3 years. Who are they going to call? That contractor from YouTube who showed exactly what the process looks like. Your competitors are not doing this. They are too busy posting the same jobsite photo on Instagram that gets 7 likes from other contractors. Grab a phone. Film the demo. Film the framing. Film the tile going in. Film the reveal. Post it with your city in the title.

I hope you're being honest! Btw I only use grok for my ai questions because fuck chatgpt... but it truly sucks for finding recommendations about local businesses or recommendations about 'real world stuff' . I used it on my road trip today from NY to FL. I asked it to tell me which states will be the longest to drive to through so I'd know which states are going to be quick to drive through and which take longer (to have an idea of when I should zone out and drive without taking breaks). It gave me the wrong answer twice and then decided it would in fact be FL. Then I asked it to give me recommendations for a strip club on the way close to the i95. First it sent me to a random address in GA that was a tanning salon. Then it told me I should go to a different club in GA. Turns out that one was somewhere 100 miles north in SC. Then it told me to go a third which was closed years ago. Wasted about an hour and just googled it instead. Also when I speak to Grok on voice it just cuts off mid sentence unless I keep asking it to continue explaining. ( I guess cause the settings are on concise mode ... But it's not concise, just incomplete)
