NOW — FISA : US Senate just passed a 45-day extension of FISA. By unanimous consent. Sen Leader Thune told me that he is hopeful the House now passes it - but last spoke with them yesterday. “I am hopeful that they'll be able to process it fairly quickly over there.”

The House concurred in the Senate Amendment to the House Amendment to H.R. 7147 by voice vote

At 11:30am, on Thursday, April 30th, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Resolution #5, S.Res.690, En Bloc Nominations. At 1:45pm, the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to discharge from Foreign Relations Committee, S.J.Res.184, Schiff War Powers Resolution (Iran).

Leadership is trying to jam three wildly different, deeply complex bills through a single vote, each packed with pages upon pages of policy. How could they realistically expect that to pass? What happened to single-issue, single-page bills? Why did we abandon transparency and simplicity?
