The contractor doing work by the Ashley River bridge has a piece of equipment that broke down. For now, 3 lanes are closed heading into downtown Charleston. Drives times are about an hour from 17 in West Ashley to Mt. Pleasant. #chstrfc

🚨 Traffic Update 🚨 The Ravenel Bridge is open to vehicular traffic heading toward Mount Pleasant from the I-26 eastbound on-ramp ONLY. However, all other ramps to and from the bridge remain closed at this time. Additionally, the Ashley River Bridge is now open in both directions. Important reminders: ❄️ Officers will continue to monitor all bridges as temperatures drop with very cold conditions expected. ❄️ Crews are treating bridges, but roads may still become icy and impassable. Officers will close roadways if necessary, and we’ll provide updates immediately. ❄️ If you must drive, please: Drive carefully. Slow down.
